As Oklahoma is in the Southwest Region, we have not seen many, if any, posts from owners in the OKC area. Where are you? Is there an interest to get together for drives, tours, etc. from our area? We see a lot going on in Texas but nothing here. There is a meet/drive in Arknasas coming up in a couple of months. Anyone planning on going?
We are simply putting a "feeler" out to see if there is any interest to establish something locally. Please post your thoughts.
Here in the Tulsa Metro Area they have formed the MARS Club, Link: MARS - Midwest Area Roadster Society - Home
We did a POPS run to the restaurant in Arcadia, OK just a few miles from OKC, met a couple of OKC Kappa owners that are signed up with the club, they have considered starting a MARS Chapter in OKC. Check the MARS website for activities and come out and join us when you can
Parsons, We agree. We have seen a lot of both the Solstice' and Sky's around the Highways and would have thought more folks would post. It would be great to get a few folks together locally and plan some road trips as a group. You know Fall is coming and planned drives into Eastern Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Missouri would be impressive and fun to do as a group. Where is everybody? Lets hear your thoughts guys.
Several sky owners in OKC so if you do plan a run or meet and greet please post on the Sky roadster forum or at least contact Seagull he was active in California but last year moved to Edmond North of OKC. He tags cars with the Sky roadster forum cards to join in but has had a hard time finding Kappa owners that want to be in a club. Keep looking at the MARS club (MARS - Midwest Area Roadster Society - Home) once it cools off some we should be out on some drives.
We should plan a drive to one of the wineries between us in Stroud, OK on old route 66. Now if the gas prices stay down it will allow longer runs
There is a fall run planned from Dallas to Mena Arkansas area might to a search on this forum?

I think there are 4 or 5 solstice and skys in Piedmont alone.
I'm sure the wife and I would be up for something. We would have to find a sitter(grandparents) for our son, or just bring the goat instead.

I live in SW Okla South of Elk city... lol i have a 08 N/A solstice... there are two Solstice's in mangum counting mine and the pop here is only 3k lol
I heard the echo here in Mustang. There has to be a way to get local SOL/SKY owners interested in getting together for rides or something. It is too bad there doesn't seem to be an interest.
I was thinking that Fall is coming and those that are interested should arrange a drive to Eastern Oklahoma (Talimena Drive) when the foliage starts turning. Anyone interested? Another option would be the Wichita Mountains around Lawton. We take the bike down there from time to time. Medicine Park has a couple of restaurants and Mears is right there. Anyone, anyone????????

Join the Fall Run already planned sounds like fun! Arkansas Fall Fun Run 2008
Only other option is to plan and post and see how many can attend, just because you own a Sol/Sky does not mandate you have to be in a club, many don't care to join. MARS club in considering a wine run out towards Bristow for September keep looking for future runs with the MARS club. MARS - Midwest Area Roadster Society - Home
They had a run last Saturday August 30th and had a good turnout so come join us Tulsan's
we are friendly folks really!
We're not looking to start a "club". We just started the thread to find like minded owners interested in getting rides together on our side of the State. We do intend to join you all as our calendar permits. We will check your web site for events.
We have had a few members sign up with our club (MARS CARS), from the OKC area. So far it has only worked out for them to join us a couple of times. But we do hope to plan a drive in that direction some day soon.
We have made a couple of trips over to POPS on route 66, and one of the OKC Sols joined us there for dinner. They are going to put together a run in that area for us to come do with them, but we haven't heard from them about it yet. As a group, we are always looking for a good place to take a drive.
We love the twisties and the whoop-te-dos. We have a tendency to go back to the ones around the Hulbert area most, as they seem to be some of the best twisties we have found. Our last cruise on August 30th was a blast. We added several other areas after Hulbert, it was a long day, but we had a great time. If this link works you can see where we went. Driving Directions from Catoosa, OK to Locust Grove, OK
Hope you all can join us some time. Check out our website, MARS - Midwest Area Roadster Society - Home and sign the guest book, so we know you've been there. We'd love to hear from you!!!

We just found this site. I bought my wife an '08 Agressive Red GXP in Dec. for Christmas. We just got back from a "Pops" and Stroud Wine tasting cruise with our other sports car group. It was a blast, why can't we do something like that with the Kappas. BTW we live on Rt.66 in Yukon.
