Automatic, AC, Leather Seating, 6 CD Changer, Monsoon sound, XM radio, Sport Metallic Pedals, did I mention Automatic.

Since my better half doesn't drive stick ... tis better to get an automatic GXP than no GXP at all.

The weather cooperated and the scenery absolutely fabulous. Here is a link to some pics. I'm sure other will post more of the scenery so you can all see how beautiful the Ottawa region is.

Hey Howie - great lookin pics ... sorry I had to miss out on the fun due to engine trouble ... here's an update on my own "run" home . Got going shortly after OnStar gave me the ok to leave for Oshawa without worrying bout more damage , it seems I have a problem with a fuel pressure sensor . We managed to maintain a max speed of 75kph. all the way along Hgway 7 to Madoc , you thought it was bad being passed by a smart car, never have I had the embarassment of being passed by a 25ft long RV while driving my baby but it is what it is - the pedal was to the floor and it's all I had. Now approaching Marmora suddenly all systems jump to life ,I now have power .. what a feeling .. bout 4 kilometers later I pass one of Kawartha Lakes finest and yes I was moving a little quick at this point and yes he did make a U turn and hauled me over .. 118 in an 80 ... whoops . All I can do is thank my dear wife Luce for laughing at me so hard the officer couldn't help but notice ,which he was very quick to point out to me "Hey did you know she's laughing at you" , that he cut me some slack and dropped it to 109 only cost me $138 + 3pts. Lets just say it was a hell of a trip home !!!
Once again I would like to thank the whole group on the run that stopped along side and offered help when I broke down in Carp at start of the run. We had an awesome time even though it was short and sweet.

Count us in for the next run ( hopefully with better luck )

Hey Neil, thanks for posting an update on your situation. The whole gang was concerned and this info. will put their minds at ease. I'll pass it along to the others in case they don't have access to the web or hadn't logged in yet.

Tincup, glad you made it home OK (except for the ticket), thanks for posting. If it makes you feel any better...

We came up to one of the "two lane on one side passing areas", I was behind Igmyster and he hit the gas so I did as well. I then noticed an elderly gentleman in a BMW sliding in behind me - he was trying to pass on the wrong side of the solid centre line just before this stretch. The next clear stretch on the normal two lane section he hit the gas and passed six cars at one go. 20 minutes later we passed him, he was having a little chat with the local finest.

Stephanie would have laughed her ass off if I were ticketed. I'm sorry it was you, but gad it wasn't me. At leaast the one breakdown didn't leave anyone stranded entirely. I still felt guilty leaving anyone behind.

Thanks to all for the pics posted. I have a few good ones to add. I'll get them posted up once I get caught up on my work.

Steph and I had a fun time. I look forward to next years run, but hope to spend more time with the group. A great group of people, I might add!

Neil:

Funny story the way you tell it.

Too bad your car had troubles, and right before the Carp road. I've been on that road myself, and it can get the heart pumping. Sounds like the entire weekend was a lot of fun -- too bad I couldn't attend. Hopefully we'll catch up with you and Lucille at another run soon.

Roy.

P.S. Ditto for the rest of the SSOOO folks -- hope to see you at the next run.

Many thanks to our organizers and hosts, Alice and I had a really good time and really appreciate your efforts. It was great meeting everyone from the fall run and the new people we haven't meet before. We are looking forward to the next run.

I made a "little" web page for our pics from the run:

Great pictures from everyone. A pity about the rain, but at least the main run on Saturday was good.
