September Cruise Vancouver/Lower Mainland

Okay guys and gals, which weekend is good for you?

Where do you want to drive? Any suggestions or ideas?

Do you just want to drive and meet and do lunch? Or something more involved?

Okay, I'll start. The weekend of Sept 27th is bad for me.

As for the route I do have a fun twisty roads trip mapped out from a long time ago, starting in Stanley Park then to UBC, then to the airport and a nearby pub, very fun driving roads, scenic and easy to drive in well under 2 hours (stops for photos included).

But if you guys wanted to go somewhere else speak up!

Can't do it the first weekend as I'm involved in a wedding. Last weekend may be too late for crossing the Coq. Otherwise I'm in !

We won't be able to make it as we are in Prince George the first week and Napa 3 & 4th week.
Have fun!
BTW that sound like a good route to be Brian.

2nd weekend is bad for me - I'll be in Montreal on a business trip.

I was at Mission Raceway this weekend and had the opportunity to meet Sylvia Braddock. For those of you who know of her - she is an ex racer, and still is involved with the racing community.

I now have her contact information, and will notify her when the next run is, and hopefully she will join us.

Sounds like everyone has got different weekends that aren't going to work.

We might not be able to do this with everyone. Or did you guys want to wait until next spring?

My vote - plan for the majority and see what shakes out. I would still like to try something in September

First weekend (Sept 6) King Oka & Skybright out, Sol-Seeker in Langley likely out

Second weekend (Sept 13) Deep Autumn out

Third weekend (Sept 20) Skybright out

Fourth weekend (Sept 27) Psycho-Squirrel & Skybright & King Oka out

So far that's what we've got from people who bothered to reply.

The second weekend works well for weather if King Oka and Big guy (?) are coming in from the interior. As Oka mentioned anything later can be dicey.

September is our moving month, so attending any date you choose will be dependent on how well the move is progressing. Have fun out there!

September Run

I schedule meetings for a living, so I couldn't resist tallying everyone up. It appears that the best date for a run would be September 20th.

So the list of people who have indicated interest for Sept 20th are:

Psycho-Squirrel
King Oka
Sol-Seeker
Deep Autumn
MS Dahlia

Do we want to do a 2 hour run as Psycho-Squirrel offered, or do we want to go a bit longer, do we want to incorporate lunch somewhere or just do a run?

Add "M"Pearl to the list, she emailed me and said she'd be able to make it any weekend we choose in Sept.

Also, there is a good pub at the end of the route I have, it would work well for lunch if people are hungry.

The 20th sounds awsome, however, I am leaving for a trip on the 21st, keep me posted. Brian & Lorraine, great work and effort on trying to get this up and running, your time is much appreciated!!
