Ive got 2 tickets, 1 for speeding doing 128km in a 90km zone and that was like a $200 ticket and then my other 1 was excessive speeding i was going 102km in a 50km zone (it was a off ramp that no one does 50km on and i was passing a taxi) that was almost a $400 ticket and i lost my license for 4 months but by the time i got it back i needed to pay ICBC another $300 and something. So im a little bit more careful now.

You are so lucky you are in BC. Ontario has new laws that really screw us over. That 50 over ticket would have had your car impounded, up to 10g's in fines, plus the insurance company would have permission to clean you out for three years.
I am definately a speedy driver. I try to do it at the right place and time.
I've been pulled over four times in my Solstice. Each time the cop has looked at the 59 year old white-haired driver with a clean driving record since 1978 (ticket for going 42 in a 35 zone) and said to keep it down and let me go......I've been verrrrrrry lucky!!!

Last year I was doing 90 in a 50 zone, and passed a nice black truck with tinted windows...that pulled up behind me at the light with red and blue lights flashing in the grill. I told him I had to go to the bathroom and was one block from home.....so he offered to wait while I went across the street to Starbucks. It's a beautiful uphill twisty road, very hard to NOT speed. $196....should have been just over $300, but I guess I looked blonde and stupid enough to go that fast that he took pity on me.
$165 for no front plate....so now I have a chopped front plate.....ick....
I still speed.......and just hope for the best!!!!!
Sky High 99 I know how you drive......I can believe you've been pulled over 8 times!!! LOL!!!!!

One for allegedly being at fault when a '90s Camaro side swiped me, but I fought that one successfully in court.
2 so far for speeding, from the infamous Photo Radar . . . no points and both expired/ not paid . . . not sure how many I have evaded by having a dirty windshield or by other means.
Sounds OK on the surface . . . but they get streaming video on every car's driver and license plate, even if the car is not speeding! I hate having my privacy violated!
Last ticket Feb. 09. "No front plate", plate was on passenger seat because the city's snowplow had ripped it & bracket off while legally parked on street. I was on my way to retailer for new bracket & mounting hardware. The rookie constable said "You should have had your car towed and then repaired"
Thank goodness that was in my old PT Cruiser. Winter wasn't good to it or for it. Replaced with 07 GXP in March 09. I had to pay the $109.00 fine before I could register my new Sol.
Previous to that was driving with expired tags in a friends car in 2001. My friend needed to borrow my PT to move some big stuff so we traded cars for the weekend. My stupid! Always check the "Reg. & Insurance" if you are using someone else's vehicle. $1,379.00 fine after talking judge down from $2,800.00.
I can't remember any others since 1982 and I'm claiming exemptions on those before as they were in foreign countries.
If you must go fast; go fast safely and with stealth. PLEASE don't Street Race!

I don't speed - never have, never will. Lorraine can vouch for me. Can't remember what all my tickets were for.
Been driving over 40 years, no tickets, not even a parking ticket. Never been pulled over. However, the place I work at has over 1,000 acres of land and a few great backroads. One of the upper management guys reported to my boss that I was going 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. I got a warning from my boss and a letter in my file. Little did he know I was actually going around 80.

I have been caught for tinted tail lights ($100), no front plate ($100), and two no front plates while parked ($25 each). I had one speeding ticket reduced to a failure to yield ($125)
