It started out innocent enough. After seeing a Z06 at a car show, I found these wheels:
Corvette C6 Z06 Wheels - Hyper Silver (18x8.5) at WheelHQ.com - Free Shipping!

The size and offset should work great, but the lug pattern is 5 X 4.75 instead of 5 X 100mm. So I started looking at adapters and such, but they all push the wheel out at least 1".

Easy, I'll just replace the hubs. I have no idea how unique the Kappa hub is, or of any other hubs are interchangeable. Wouldn't be cool if F or Y body hubs would bolt right up?

Oh, now I need new brake disks. While we are at it, why not use the Corvette rotors and calipers. I was surprised to find you could get brand new Z06 6 piston calipers for under $500 a pair.

Looking on ebay, the Corvette knuckles look surprisingly a lot like ones on a Kappa. They may even be interchangable.

So... My next quest is to see what it will take to install a set of Z06 wheels, hubs, disks, and calipers. Maybe too much, but it sounds like fun finding out...

I think some one was looking into doing this a while back. But it was going to cost them way too much money to make it all happen. So they gave up on the project.

Being underwhelmed with the (brakes??) I have wondered the same, with careful shopping the costs should be able to be brought down. My concern would be the ABS and the handling.
