Or I will do an LS 3 with a rear mounted 6 speed trans,...the options...?

Nothing still. I was going to try the rear cts-v caliper with drum parking brake. But it is looking too expensive.

I will probably end up getting the tce 13" rear setup.

Cool thanks.
Why would the CTS-V drums be so hard?

I know this is a super old thread but, how did those calipers fare? Did you ever get the rear on?

I ended up getting a big brake kit from SSBC. I wanted to have a parking brake. The fronts have held up great. I dont care for the SSBC much. Parking brake was a huge pain to get setup just right, and every time I change the pads I have to redo it.

but they work very well together. definitly recommend upgrading the rear with the fronts. It would nose dive pretty hard with heavy braking. The rear like to swing out.

Did I miss how you compensated for the different bolt pattern between the solstice 110mm and the Corvette 4.75" or 121 mm bolt pattern?

machine shop offset and drilled new holes for the rotors. the rotors are pretty cheap, but its a PITA to keep having to go to a machine shop to drill new holes when replacing the rotors. I'll probably be replacing them with a custom rotor hat sometime this year.

Here is another option to run the CTSV calipers on the solstice. ZZP make this kit for the cobalt, and as we know, the cobalt brembos bolt up perfectly fine to the solstice. Do a direct replacement for them, is a direct replacement for us. Only issue is that you need to already have wheels that will clear a thicker caliper. Another unknown is the rotor center bore...if its 65mm then it needs to be honed out to 70mm.

ZZPerformance - 14.5 inch Front Brake Kit #ZZ-145CBK

And another option im researching now, but am about 90% sure will work is using the ATS 330mm brakes. The mounting hats on the calipers are exactly the same as the solstice and the rotors already have a center bore of 70mm. The only thing we would need to do is again, have wheels to clear them, and re drill the 5x110 pattern.

for the rears im looking into using Volvo S60r rear calipers. This would mean losing the parking brake...but I have a auto, don't think i use that thing anyway
