Performance driving subjects the vehicle chassis to extreme forces. To handle these forces, the R&D department of DC Sports designed the front upper strut bar to work in combination with the factory suspension. The strut bar strengthens the chassis by joining the two shock towers together. This helps to eliminate flex created by performance driving while improving the cars feel and handling. Use of this bar will improve handling and give the car a tighter feel at high speeds. DC Sports CS-2 strut bars are manufactured from carbon steel, and provide increased strength for less money.

party with everyone. Some of you owe me a beer.
My link does 105% price match so I can get it even cheaper now. Have to compare shipping though too as soon as I find out if I want to do this. Would it be a rather simple install??
I had both the front and rear of these on my SRT and noticed a huge difference. I would think it makes a difference on this car! Imma order it today on the price match and test it out.

Please give feedback when you find out.
I need to wait until I have a job again. Hopefully tomorrow the interview goes through. But seems like a great price IMO.
Based on the design of the front and rear suspension of our Sol's this add on is not needed nor would there be any gain from such a device. The Solstice dose not use struts to control the camber, we have upper and lower “A” arms on both ends and a very stiff chassis.

Completely different designs. When I used to race turbo civic it really needed chassis stiffening to function properly. My 914rs on the other hand needs none of this because it was designed for racing from the get go.
I would like to think since the solstice was designed from the ground up as a sports car and not a grocery getter, things like this I would hope are pointless.

Did they design it then just to design it?? After putting one in my girlfriend's trans am there is a huge difference. It wasn't designed as a sports car?? You have to realize we aren't talking porsches and corvettes here. This is still a 30k sports car or less. There are things that can be improved. Not saying this is definetely one of them but...who knows

Trans Am has more in common with a honda chassis(except the honda suspension is better) then a Kappa so you tell me.
OK I had to go look up close so I made a trip to the parking lot...
No way in hell the front needs any sort of bracing. It's solid!! They did a hell of a job!
The rear the only thing I see is the lower parts of the a Arms you may want to put a brace in between. I could see there being some slight flex here but how much stress is put on the lower A arm?

I'm very new to suspensions and in all honesty don't know too much about improving them. But after riding in my girlfriend's trans am after getting the unibody connector I couldn't believe what $100 could do for the ride. So I started researching things. The only thing that I have really found other than full coilovers are lowering springs and the strut bar. Is there anything else that can help a lot?? I need to get going around those twisties faster and safer.
For a NA Sol, my best suggestions would be lowering springs, anti roll bars, and better tires. Kappasphere has the springs, the bars can be had from GMpartsdirect, and the tires (Bridgestone RE-01R) from The Tire Rack.

Beat me to it...yeah, no struts no need for bars except for cosmetic appearance.
