This is my first post to this forum, although I have been reading information here for about a month now. First I would like to say thank you to everyone who posts here for the wealth of knowledge that I have gained about the Solstice!

I purchased my solstice less than a month ago, and I have about 820 miles on it now. I recently purchased the CAI and KS1 from Kappasphere. Now I am no motor head, in fact I haven't even done my own oil changes on any of my vehicles in over twenty years. I always have my work done for me. Anyway, the installation of the CAI seemed easy enough, so I decided to do it myself. This was last night (Friday night) The installation took me all of 30 minutes. I couldn't beleive how simple it was.

I noticed a difference within the first 100 yards of leaving my driveway! Not a major difference, but a difference to be sure. This morning (Saturday morning) I took the car to a local muffler shop and had the KS1 installed. Again I instantly noticed a difference in the performance and the sound of the car. Again, nothing earth shattering, but certainly a noticeable difference. If I were to describe the changes that I perceived I would say imagine removing your engine, dipping the entire thing in teflon, and reinstalling it. Everything seems to be smoother, more responsive, looser, more free flowing. The engine doesn't seem to labor as it did before. Plus the car now sounds like a small four banger sports car should.

The entire modification including the parts, shipping from CA to NJ, and the installation of the KS1 cost me $925.00. Was it worth it? Absolutely IMHO. Kudos to Kappasphere for putting together what in my opinion is a winning combination!
