If you are interested, here is what i used to replace my springs. It took all day for me to do it the first time but it really is simple. I wish i just had someone i could ask a couple questions. Once you know what you need to do, it should only take a couple hours. You can give me a call or something if you run into a block.
The spring replacement is an option many have gone with including myself, especially if you know someone with a spring compressor and basic mechanical knowledge to save on the labor cost. A lot of times you can also rent spring compressors from somewhere such as auto zone. Another option could be (if you have a good shop around) possibly taking it to a shop and having them chop a bit off the top of your stock springs. Just be careful with this option to go to someone who knows the physics of a spring or they may cut to much off. one inch off the end of a spring may give you more or less than one inch drop. Probably more and you may end up too low and having to pay them for thier time and still go with buying another set.
I'm looking into having the stock fronts cut on mine because the 1 inch sport springs I had on the front with my front kit mad it to low for safe driving and now I have the cracks on the nose to prove it but with the stock nose the 1 inch fronts are perfect.
Good luck and hope this helps.
As a rule, I recommend against cutting stock springs, for the resultant increase in spring rate tends to make them excessively harsh. For the amount of effort and/or cost involved in disassembling the car far enough to get the springs in and out, then re-align it, it's almost a shame to not use a set of well-engineered spring replacements, especially on cars like ours that are valuable and predicate handling performance over all else!

I'm not a fan of cutting either but you can understand my concern with buying another spring when what was supposed to be a one inch drop spring gave me a 4 inch difference.

Yes, something went askew there for sure. We've always used Eibach for this purpose, with nary an issue. Good luck!

I think discount tire's spring thread ( Eibach Springs and Suspension systems ) just solved my mystery as to why I got such a drastic change when I installed the sport springs. I believe now that Kappasphere only sells the N/A version spring set. It is the only one I still see on thier site and matches the drop listed on the attached threads measurements for the N/A model. I have the wrong ones. The GXP versions may not have been available when I bought them, I don't know but good to know for all interested.

I just got the Eibach ProKit installed, 1" front 1.4" rear I believe. I'm no racer or anything, but I noticed a slightly harsher/bouncier ride or humps in road (not to be confused with bumps ) I do like the look of it a sit doesn't look significantly lowered a la high school ricers. I have noticed an improvement in braking dive and cornering, neither of which were a surprise.

I used the Kappasphere lowering springs, and I am very happy with the results. I had them installed yesterday and they also did a 4 wheel alignment. They lowerd the car 1" front and 1.5" rear. It now measures 27 1/4 front and rear. The car looks great and the ride didn't change much. The only thing I have to watch for is road kill as I am sure my spoiler will make a nice plow to clear the road.

When did they get put on? it will take a day or two for them to settle into what will be thier normal ride height.

yeah, i had to take mine off with the sportline. Personally it looks a lot better and i'm not scraping every time i come to a stop.
Once some of the upgrades are complete, i'll be opening up some vents in the front for more air but there have been no rise in coolant temps this summer.

I would love to see pictures, I ordered the same springs and wanna see what they look like.
Has anyone tried to lower just the rear of the car? I was thinking of maybe just an inch. It would reduce the tire gap in the back and keep the front up for speed bumps, driveways and such. Could this be done?
