OK this is funny I have no idea how to spell alcantara but the spell checker wants to change it to cantaloupe
Of course. There are several different shades of gray though in the Alcantara linup.

Is there a cantaloupe gray? I guess I have to pick the color for my seat covers so it will match. Wait you are doing them both you make it match, problem solved

I am going to feel so dumb for asking this. What is the difference between suede and leather? Also how much does a custom interior go for?

Not at the moment. I don't have a source for chroming but I can certainly look into it.

Well, technically it's all animal hide. leather is finished though and smooth like a jacket or a couch. Suede is unfinished and is the result of splitting the hide in two. It has a fuzzy feel to it.

Custom interiors range from $2000 to over $4000 depending on how much you want done and what materials you select. JPM products start at around $50 or so incase you don't want to get it all at once.

OK one more question, Will this threading fit standard threaded shift knobs? I believe most knowbs are 3/8 thread.

I'm not sure. I think the threading is the same as a lug nut. My machinist is using a thread that's standard for him. I want to say it's m12x1.5

I would love an outer ring that was NOT chrome, it gets so dirty. I would really like brushed stainless, aluminum or to have the leather just wrap around it.

I am thinking about doing a different seat option and getting a couple of these with yellow inserts. I would do the shift boot in black suede.

Will those sparco's allow you access to the center console? I had heard there were problems with the shoulder wings getting in the way of the console and preventing it from opening.

Also has anyone had a metal shift knob in a convertible before? how hot does it get in the summer. I would hate to burn my hand on the shifter with the top down.

I have an aluminum knob in mine. It gets really hot in the summer and freezes my hands off in the winter until the heat gets going. Beauty is pain though Overall I love it and the temp extremes only last for a minute or two until you get going and start shifting. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Of course, the JPM lineup will have copolymer knobs. They're not metal so they don't get too hot or cold and look pretty sweet too.

Anyway, I have the various version knobs that will be available. This is the lineup...

Aluminum Sphere:

The aluminum sphere will have the option of being anodized in any color for an additional charge of $30. My favorite will be black and I'll probably end up getting one of these for myself It will also have the option of being buffed to a chrome-like polish for an additional $20

The Copolymer Black Sphere:

The Copolymer sphere is a highly ridgid plastic that is both heat and shock resistant and will not get hot or cold as a metal knob would. It's only available in one finish.

The Copolymer White Sphere:

Same specs as the black one only it's white.

Aluminum Piston:

Copolymer Piston:

BTW, the entire JPM lineup is hand milled to an exact dimension. Shift knob diamters are 1.5" and 2". As all JPM products, this lineup is guaranteed against defects in workmanship or material. We try to offer only the best products and never compromise on material quality or the manufacturing process.

Hopefully I'll have pics of the first installed one tomorrow. Please be thinking about your knob selection in the meantime.

I don't use the center console much, so I hadn't even thought about it, you may be right.

I think I will go with the black salt shaker knob

I'd have to see the black anodized aluminum one, red may be a bit too much!! Not sure if I want to spend the extra $50 to get black polished. Need to see pictures to be sure.

Also a question about the engraving. Would it be an exchange You send us one we return ours to you, or would you take ours back, and return that to us.
