What exactly does it do and what benefits can be felt or seen?

From prior Fbody experience I know what subframe connectors, shock tower brace, and aftermarket rear control arms can do. There was much less creaking in the body structure and much less wheel hop.

During cornering, the Black Diff. Crossmember is flexing. this change the geometry of the rear suspension, thus unsettling the car. By bracing and stiffining the crossmember and the two rear lower control arm mounting points, the the suspension/alignment of the rear tires does change as drastically. This let the car corner smoother and more predictably.

Is this similar to the Kappasphere brace, or something different?

Intended to do the same job. But we feel ours has distinct advantages.

What is the thickness of the steel beam or plate?.
I am assuming is thicker and a lot more stronger than the OEM part that is flexing.
So how much thicker and stronger?.

This is where I have to agree with deepblue GXP.
The bolts are the weak link to a very good design. I would rather see it welded, otherwise the bolts are the ones taking all the pressure. If a human hair can fit between the hole and the bolt then your design will fail over time. I am assuming the nuts are not welded to the bar base on your description. If my assumption is correct can the customer request the nuts be welded to the bar to eliminate the weak link.

LV,

Respectfully, we disagree with your assumptions.

You cannot form this out of one piece, nor can you weld the assemblies completely and be able to fit all the vehicles out on the road. With production variance, varying mileage and levels of abuse from use, a completely rigid, non-adjustable unit cannot be expected to fit. The bolts have ample holding power for the intended purpose, and those bolts do not bear the main load that the Pro-Beam was designed to help with

The only issue I have with the design is stainless hardware. Stainless is soft and will bend over time. Why not use a grade 8 bolt or some metric blues. Would certainly be more durable. I like the way it ties in to the crossmember though

Not sure exactly what a metric blue is, but grade 8 rusts big time. Bad idea for where this will be mounted.
