Thank you.
I was confused because on KappaSphere they are listed as a
1" front/ 1.3" rear drop
ANd on Gravana they are listed as
1.4" drop on the Pro kit
2" drop on the Sportline kit

So I'm guessing KappaSpere listed it as 1"/1.3" because thats the actual drop acheived with the Pro klit?

Yes, and we are the ones that actually worked with Eibach to develop this kit. Though each car may vary a bit.

Had a set of pre-production eibachs install by eibach at thier R+D facility last friday. Phong (the R+D project manager that set it all up) told me that they are about half an inch lower than the set currently on the market. The ride did have a distinct change after the install, quite a bit stiffer though still not harsh. I think its much more sports car like, car seems to communicate alot better and it really helps to inspire alot more confidence. I would also recommend to some one who might want to race thier solstice to play around w/ camber, after I got the car back from eibach all the wheels had alot more negative camber and it actually seemed to handle better than after I had the car realigned to stock specs at the pontiac dealer(maybe its just me). I also think Im going to look into shock revalving if possible.

So are you saying that Eibach has yet another set of springs that is different from Kappa and Gravana?

the eibachs from kappasphere are as low as you could reasonably go on a street car. the air dam scrapes fairly regularly over normal grade changes like backing out of a driveway. I have to tiptoe over speed bumps now.
the good news is that it has sharpened the handling a good bit with no real change suspension compliance - still smooth and controlled.
It is the same Solstice dynamics that I love, only better. looks good too, if you care about that sort of thing.

Does the air dam serve any real purpose? Could one take it out to accomodate a lower spring level?

There was a member who had the black and red solstice show car and he told me he lowered the car 2-1/2" and had to trim the airdam to kep it from dragging on everything.

Airdam is designed to keep the air from building up under the car and lifting it at speed. Can you do away with it? If you stay under 100 you will probably never notice that the car has gotten lighter.

If the airdam in 3" from the ground and you lower the car an 1.5" it should be about 1.5" from the ground so you should be able to trim 1.5" off.

Has no one looked into a full setup ? Shocks and Springs with a dampering system ? I know it is a bit more money to buy. But you wont be killing your stock shocks in a few years. Just a thought. Also doesnt the red/black solstice have that sort of setup made by Eibach ?

I would be interested... but no one has come out with one yet. Do you have some inside info that you can share? Is anyone developing one of these? Do tell!

I just looked up that thread and here is ithe quote in ref to the spings:
"We lowered it with Eibach coil overs approx. 2.25" and we trimed the airdam 1-1/2inches.

Curious why someone would go to all that work. Won't the airdam "self-trim" after a number of scrapes on the asphalt? Would that be bad? I'll completely understand if this is a stupid question...

But remember the two-tone car went down 2 - 1/4" which is way low, and with kappa coils you probably don't need to trim.
