I was under the impression that the GXP option would be available for order in April/May. I would hope that pricing would be out by then, but that's no always the case. I talked to my local dealer as well and he said that they had 2 allocations of 2006 Solstice's left, and that was one a month (in other words a Feb and Mar allocation). Then they said after that it was all 2007 allocations...so this goes in line what the rumors I have been hearing elsewhere as well.

Reguardless, once they are available I'll be placing my order.

No Bob lutz said the pricing will come out in the summer and the car available in the fall but don't forget just because you can order it doesn't mean it's going to get picked up. It might not be produced untill months after you can order. Like the Auto,Onstar, heradliner ect.

Hi Deluke, Just chipping in to say that I'm jealous of your 1st spot for a GXP, you must be thrilled, but no one deserves it more after all the help you continue to be here to members who need advice and assistance with the "system" good luck.

P.S. If you hear of a slot for one hanging around, you know who to send a PM to.

Basically, they are agreeing to deliver the car unaltered and the way I want it!! Cleaned up and prepped. That's it.

If a perfect window sticker you seek, have your dealer order you a duplicate on DealerWorld. It would arrive about two weeks later and be in better shape then what's taken off your car. It's easy.

You almost forgot the other one, "don't wash my car" preferrable "leave on white plastic coverings on wheels/hood/sides. They can keep their "dealer prep fees" which wind up putting swirls into your car for you.

Other than that you did the right thing, I always tell dealers I dont want any dealer advertisements on the license plate frame and DO NOT DRILL HOLES IN THE FRONT BUMPER for god's sake!

Thanks birdliver, don't be jealous we have a great dealer. My husband and I have been talking and IF the car doesn't come out till October ( we all know what spring could mean) we might end up holding out instead of buying it and puting it right in a garage like we did with the one we have,(it only has 400 miles on it) then I'll have my dealer turn it over to you if you want,( I'm hoping it comes out in at least September) I'm in Ct., but I need the automatic because I found out I will never be able to drive a standard because of my arm, and if I need a automatic I will only get the GXP version because I want more pep.

Here we go all over again.
