Has anyone experienced an air leak around the window? I have had my car in 8 times and they still can't seem to fix it - now the dealership is trying to adjust the window up - they have changed the top linkage twice, replaced the window molding, and the rubber cup holding the the driverside convertable top post as it rests on the body since it was not seating correctly. I really don't like my dealership ... any suggestions? Thanks!

where is the air leak actually occurring.....in the bottom rear of the window...along the top....do you have water coming in as well?? You say you really dont like your dealership..but seems they are trying all they can to fix the problem with the number of adjustments and replacements they are making.......

Take a couple of photos for me, one of the covertable top when it is fully up and locked, door closed at the buttress (by the door) and then with the top half open, shoot the second photo from front to rear so I can see the allignment of the pin.
I had the same issue and the fit engineer at the GM Plant showed me what was wrong and fixed mine.
Dealers are just not up on the new car fitting issues

The leak is at the bottom right next to the door lock and the window - my frustration with the dealership is that each time they said it was "fixed" when it was not

thanks - the dearlship still has my car - what specifically was your problem and how did you fix it??

I guess it boils down to expectations of wind noise or leaks.......ours has some wind noise from both bottom corners just as you describe..but no water leaks.....so in 18 months we have never had it looked at.....I find the noise level acceptable for a 20K convertible, its a great deal quieter than my old 95 Lebaron convertible!!!.....and since we added the CAI and the catback exhaust.......its all mellow sounding now.......

The guide pin that fits into the slot was not alligned properly causing the buttress to move outward slighly making wind noise. If you look at the pin just before it sets into the slow, it should tilt or angle in about 5-10 degrees.
The fit guys grabbed the pin with a sock and vicegrips and bent it back inwards about 5-10 degrees and then with the top 1/2 way up pushed/flexed in the bottom portion of the covertable top. When they were completed, the top alligned without coaxing on my part. Wind noise is no where as bad. Still have a little.
I have the same noise. If you look closely at the corner edge of the window there is a tiny communication to the outside. I think I have it on both sides, but I obviously notice the driver's side more since that's where I sit. I don't seem to have any water leakage, so I just accepted it as normal for a convertible. I guess I should have it looked at?

Thanks - I will talk to the dealershop about the guide pin - I did have the alignment problem with the cup - they first replaced the cup - said it was fixed - then when I put the top up and down acouple of times the post still did not aline. they did some mnore work on it and now it fits secure in the cup - but did not alter the noise - this is not a small air leak. They then moved the window up and toward the front and that hlepd some - but the noise is still bothersome when commuting at 75-80 mph. they have it again and I have not heard the latest yet.

The dealership said the noise was actually comming from the front of the window and transmitting to the rear along the upper ege of the glass - I saw the Drain port aswell

I had my Sky at the dealer last week for the same issue.
They told me that GM says some wind noise is normal for a convertible.
I won't write what I think of that answer, having owned several convertibles in the past.
My noise is coming from the rear of the side window, just behind the door lock stalk. The entire rest of the top seals just fine, but the noise I'm getting is annoying and starts right around 40 mph, getting worse the faster I go.
I wanted to take the Sky on a trip from Cleveland to Knoxville, but I don't know if I can stand the noise for the 8 hour drive.
I looked at the seal and it appears to me that the seal is hollow. Its reasonably firm for most of its length (no jokes please). However, as you get towards the bottom of the window edge, the seal becomes very easy to deform. My theory is that the seal doesn't have sufficient structure in that area to push itself against the window and/or the pressure of the air rushing past the seal at that point is enough to overcome the seal and deform it.
I have to look at it in more detail, but I'm wondering if I couldn't stuff the cavity with some sort of foam just to support the seal profile enough to eliminate the noise.
Other than the driveline clunking (which GM also said was normal) that I've managed to mostly "shift around" by modifying my clutching style, this wind noise is the only thing about the car that I am unsatisfied with.
DUCT TAPE! Really get a roll and start sticking it places untill the noise goes away then you can show the dealer exactly where the noise is coming from. Actually masking tape might leave less residue but that is just out side my southern upbringing.
