I went to the dyno shop with my friend on Friday who has a 2007 Solstice GXP 5 speed. The car is stock from the factory. The three runs he did were done on a Dynojet dyno. His first run was stock and then he programmed his computer with the BSR tuner for his last two runs. The temperature was 80 degrees F and he runs 93 octane gas. All numbers were done in fourth gear. The first dyno shows all three runs. the next on was the results stock and the next one is with the BSR tune. The last page is the SAE horsepower ratings for all three runs.

Nice numbers but it 244 seems high for a stock GXP. I've seen 6 different GXPs dyno'd stock and never went over 225 rwhp

I don't know if the person running the dyno can mess with the numbers or why they would but I watched the whole thing go down and I can tell you his car is bone stock. I also know there are different dynos out there and that may have something to do with it.

Either way, the results show that the BSR provides a about a 30 RWHP and torque gain

We were both surprised by the numbers but the important thing is the HP and torgue gains with the BSR tune. I have read other posts and they showed little change in the numbers so that is why I wanted to share the dyno results with the forum. His next mod will be an intercooler from Dejon or Hahn.

He may start experiencing problems with mods with the BSR from what I've heard.

Dynojets always show higher numbers, but like DBG said it is the change that is relevant. 30 is about what is expected from a BSR.

No BSR/Mod issues with my setup. But I am still running the stock intake, down pipe, and exhaust. I may add a 3" Magnaflow soon.

Kendall, you are one of the rare ones then. I'd like to see your true track times though.

No 2008 GXP BSR tunes right?

I've seen 50 horsepower differences (350/408) between Dynojet and Mustang Dynos.

The BSR does not play well with after market intercoolers, it will almost always cause a CEL.

If you look at his sig he has the Hahn IC.
The BSR tune that Hahn sells with his IC has been modify to take account of this MOD.

If you are aware of any, it is news to me. I know there was one guy that Bill gave a refund to because it didn't work on his car, but he had a bunch of mods and who knows what was causing the issue.

I can tell you it works great for me.

The 2008 Redline/GXP tunes are available, and have been for a few months. In fact it really is the only game in town if you have a 2008.

I hope to get "real numbers" this weekend. I think with a tacky lauch pad I will be able to lauch her around 25-2600 instead of 2200 on the interceptor runs.

Hey Kendall do you have a dyno graph for your car? Please give us a quick review of the BSR since you have a 2008.
Thanks!

Thanks!

Sure. When you first program the car it takes a few days to settle into it's sweet spot. Initially, the boost would spike to 25 or so and come down to 20-23 psi. Then it would nail and hold 21-22 psi. I don't know what else to say about it. It feels like your driving a small block and not a turbo 4. There is no doubt it had the biggest gain of any of my mods.

Did I like paying $995? Hell no. But by the time you price a Westers + HP Tuners and/or a spare ECU, its not unreasonable. Besides, it is the only thing available for a 2008. I hope to tune it myself via HP Tuners at some point when all the functions are available.

I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Kendall
