Just wondering if any of you had to have your convertible realigned? The 1st time I took it in because the passenger side window would roll up and the seal would be on the outside of the window and not in, and you would have to open the door to get the seal on the inside. Since then I've had the top down twice and when I put it back up today not only is the top out of alignment again, but it is worse than the 1st time.
Is there anything that I can do to try and align it or am I stuck taking it back to the dealer
Take it back to your dealer and ask them replace the adjustment rod. I had the same problem on my car. The original rods had plastic pieces ... the newer ones are steel.
I've not had any problems since this rod has been replaced.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one Else.

Take some pics and post them, I may have a solution for you but I need more info. I'm not sure what you mean about out of allignment. Is it not seating into the slots by the doors, is the window still hitting the fabric?
I'll have to grab some pics tomorrow it's too dark outside now. Basically what happens is if I roll my passenger side window down at all and back up I the weather seal is on the outside of the glass completely instead of it being on the inside. It's to the point that I have to have the passenger door open before I roll the window up because it's very difficult to open the door.
Before I took it in it was doing the same thing, however it was not as bad.
I'm having the same problem! I'll be keeping my eye on this thread.

IF they made adjustment to this rod and it is STILL doing this this it needs to be replaced as I suggested earlier.
I'm certain that DBG will have you attempt to adjust this also, but IF the tabs are broken off it will back off again and you will still have problems .. this is how it was explained to me by my mechanic anyway. Factory rod has plastic tabs .... replacement is made with steel.

Yours sounds like the glass is tilted in to far, there are two adjustments for the window but I need some photos to tell you what the procedure is.

Joe ... mine was doing this EXACT thing (drivers side) ... plus it was not seating into the gasket on the body behind the door as it should. That was the reason for the adjusting rod replacement - there is a TSB for this now. I've seen this on another car too!

Hmmm ... my mech said something about the bulletin on the top had changed ... my service writer showed me the paper with the NEW part they were to order and replace ... very curious, very curious indeed.
Let me go check mygmlink and find the part number
::edit:: didn't have the number listed, but here is the diagram showing the link assembly
#10 they used.
