You may want to loosen your clamps on the bottom of the pipe and break the seal loose and then shove them in until they hit the IC, re-tighten.

There hasn't been any data to support any increase in performance due to replacing the IC pipes. It is only a cosmetic mod.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try tonight.

As for the performance issue with the flattened pipe, anyone have any idea how Dejon is getting this 40% reduction in air flow figure?

It has been proven and tested by the factory that the OEM pipes can handle over 300BHP with no degradation in performance.
There is no reason other than cosmetics to change the OEM IC pipes.
The Hahn intercooler flows more air than the Dejon and it has been tested by the factory on a GXP Solstice with a modified ECM (Tune) with the stock IC pipes and no degradation in performance has been notice.
This Solstice is modified for racing so if the stock IC pipes work on this car with well over 320BHP, then they will certainly perform fine with a Westers tune and the Dejon IC.
Also Hahns stage 2 BSR tune with his IC also uses the OEM IC pipes and no problem with performance has been seen.
