First off, I'm posting this in the Solstice GXP forum because it will get a lot more exposure than the suspension forum which doesn't have much activity.
I'm looking for some pictures or even some opinions on the Eibach Sportline springs. Eibach's specs say these springs will drop the car 1.7" in both the front and rear. I'm running stock wheels/tires on my GXP. I'm assuming I should not have any problems with rubbing.
I know a few people have installed the sportlines but everytime I see pictures, they have aftermarket wheels with smaller profile tires. I'd like to see what the car looks like with stock wheels/tires if possible.
I have the Eibach Pro-kit drops it 1.3 all around with 19" rims tires 245x40 up front and 275x35 in the rear love it. I wouldn't worry about rubbing, I'd be more concerned with bottoming out. I also found after a couple of months it seems to have drop a bit more.
It also depends on how agreesive a look your are looking for.

Reason: info
As far as I know, the car pictured here has the KW V3 Coilovers. The owner said it provides a 1.4" drop in both front and rear and will drop a little bit more after it settles.
I've read reviews on the Kappasphere/Eibach Pro-kit and a couple of people have said they wished the rear was a little bit lower to match the front. This is the main reason I am swaying towards the sportline.
I guess one other thing I should mention is this is my second car. It's driven purely in the city here in Dallas. No long distance driving whatsoever. Just a toy. So I'm going more towards looks and less on ride comfort.
Those are the kappasphere lowering springs. It's a very noticable drop and honestly for me i wouldnt go any lower. Not only am i breaking my back everytime i get into my car (and im only 21 lol) but i also have to drive carefully everywhere, but i just mainly look out for speed bumps. The other day my front splash guards rubbed so bad that i came to a complete stop on top of the speed bump lol. Nothing i could do but keep going.
My advice to you is to be VERY sure that you want to go lower than the kappasphere springs (or that you even wanna go any lower at all). Driving will change a lot. I just hate it now cuz i avoid everywhere that has massive speed bumps and sometimes that means parking far from my destination. Hope this helps !
I have had both the kappasphere springs and currently the sportline springs with stock wheels. I don't have pictures of the sportline springs but I can take some. I have pictures measuring the height of the kappasphere drop I will try and post tonight.
Really I didn't notice a big difference between the two. The sportlines aren't as low as the kw's pictured above, that looks over 2 inches.
Btw my kappaspings are forsale.

Man, if you could post a couple of pics with the sportlines, I'll be your bestest friend!
Wow, that stance is great! I have the sportlines on my NA daily driver (i know i know not the same) and I wouldn't go any higher. I think the look is almost perfect now but i just couldn't spend the money on coil overs atm. This allows me to be almost content
I am wondering if i pick up a set of koni adjustables can i lower it even more....

Thanks for sharing the pics and also your opinions.
I'm still leaning more towards the sportlines as I'm trying to achieve a real low stance. I'll sacrifice the fact that I'll have a more difficult time going over speed bumps and such.

Well, you probably wont be able to go over any speed bumps :P lol i had an experience with speed bumps just this morning. I had to drive across the whole parking lot (through the parking spots) to avoid all the speed bumps at the mall lol or else the body of my car would scrape.
That's just something we have to suck up driving a lowered car. I'm planning on repainting someday anyway so it doesn't bother me too much. Makes normal driving more of an adventure..
There are only a few apt complexes around here that driving sideways over a speed bump doesn't allow clearance with the sportlines.
Here's some comparison pictures I put together of stock vs. kappasprings. Note that the springs hadn't settled yet, so it did get a little lower. I eventually cut about an inch off of the radiator scoop because it would rub everything! I was originally going to let it wear out but after a couple hundreds miles of dragging you couldn't tell it had ever touched the ground so I cut it. It's made of a very rubbery material. I have had no temperature problems and I autocross it in South Louisiana.
I haven't taken any pictures after putting the Sportline Springs on, hopefully I'll have time this weekend to.
The reason I changed from the KappaSprings (Pro) to the Sportline is because I originally wanted to put 20's on the rear and 19's up front, but since no one makes any worth a **** I decided to go lower with just 19's. I also wanted to get the back to sit level with the front, but the new springs didn't help much.
