I don't think anyone's ordered one yet since they won't be in the system until April according to Small Dealer.

dont think anyone has officially ordered the GXP yet....as some have worked deals with dealers to be first in line with the deposit in place...but dealerships can officially place the order into VOMS yet....so I doubt the prices are known...I have seen speculation it is 3-5k more than the base solstice....

comments to add anyone?

As everyone else is stating, you can't order it yet. However, you may want to get your deposit down for the right to be the first to order one out of your preferred dealers allocation. The gxp info available on other threads indicated an expected $4-5K increase over the base Sol. Remember, that includes many of the optional items (like leather wrapped wheel without leather interior) and all the additionals that are gxp specific.

As with other members of GXP family, the Solstice GXP provides a number of standard features not available on the base model, including:
• Unique front and rear fascias
• High polish, dual-outlet exhaust
• StabiliTrak vehicle stability enhancement system
• 3.73 rear axle ratio
• Interior refinements including unique GXP gauge cluster and Cobalt Red seat stitching

The GXP also comes standard with a number of features available as options on the base model, including:
Sport suspension system
Four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock
Limited-slip rear differential
Power window/locks/mirrors and remote keyless entry
Leather-wrapped steering wheel with accessory controls and cruise control
Driver information center
18-inch polished aluminum wheels

Additional options include a rear deck spoiler, leather seating, sport metallic pedals, chrome wheels, enhanced audio options, including XM Satellite Radio, and OnStar.

I'ld be happy with the base GXP, plus monsoon. Shouldn't be too much over a stock Sol loaded with all options.

My somewhat scientific, somewhat guesstimate GXP pricing...

I see standard that is now extra cost...

Premium Package $690
Convenience Package $465
ABS $400
Kimited Slip Dif $195
Polished Aluminum Wheels $545

So that means that the GXP really has $2995 worth of optional base Solstice equipment already. So adding all Sol equipment to the GXP premium is not going to be a good way to figure out the max price.

Here is how I see it.

Base Sol $20495
+4500 for GXP (average the range Lutz gave)

GXP base price $24995

Additional equipment
A/C $960
Chrome Wheels $795 (Might cost less on GXP since polished already is figured into base price, compared to painted on base Sol)
OnStar $695
6 Disk Stereo $495
Monsoon speakers $$395
XM $325
Mid-Level Stereo $195
Headliner $150
Carpet mats $60

MAX price with EVERYTHING and not counting any discount to the Chrome Wheels would give you a base price of $29065

Also keep in mind that this also includes other things that could be considered on an itemized list, such as the dual exit exhaust. stability control, spoiler, front fascia with brake ducts. All could potentially be worth a couple hundred as stand alone options.

Either way, the real premium for the GXP appears to be about $2500-$3000, with the rest of the base price increase coming from optional equipment being made standard.

Exactly, Fformula88. Using your calculations and only the options I want, I'm looking at under $27k. $2-3K over the Sol I initially would order seems very reasonable for the GXP specific items. Of course, things may change between now and April/May.

....Your mileage may vary.

Ff88,
the spoiler is an option and not part of the GXP base price.
I think you are pretty close at 29K but come spring it may be closer to 30K.

Monday 6 Feb we got on our dealers GXP pre-order list, we are number three. They assured us we will get MSRP, especially since we purchased our 2000 Grand Prix GTP from them. They asked for and got a $500.00 deposit, and have heard the same rumors as forum members that official order taking will begin in April, at which time we will fill out the option list. Our dealer, in Tucson, Arizona, has sold 6 Sols so far, and their activity board showed customers waiting for an additional dozen. Most popular color is almost a split between Pure and Cool. My wife and I want nothing less than the yellow for our GXP.

I am still of the persuasion that the added $4500 to base will include not only the hot engine, but also some items that would be considered standard on the GXP. Therefore a base GXP could sticker under $25000 before OnStar and destination charge. We know that OnStar at $695 is only part of what has to be purchased as a package that includes premium headliner and Monsoon.

My assumptions are based on just gut feelings of of comparing similarly priced GM products such as Cobalt and Cobalt SS, similar price, similar hp difference.

A loaded Solstice as of today, according to Pontiac.com is $25,865.00
My guestimate is that a loaded GXP will run easily in the 30K range.
Remember: Jack a little bit because with a hot car like this there is no way for price slashes, compromises or whatever. Expect to pay the dear price for a GXP.

With all the research that has been done it seems that a loaded one should be closer to 28k.

Maybe we should have a contest. Closest guess to the BASE GXP price wins a prize. I'll start. $25,595. Seems to me many have forgotten the turbo costs.

I stick with 29K for a loaded GXP to be more fair but closer to 30K.
Oh, add taxes, dealer fees and whatever other things may be applied and you get 30Kplus.

Good point Mikesan. The Turbo is the grail for this car and won't be a cheap one...I hope, otherwise I will be doubting on the quality of the part itself. I say the turbo will be at least 5K. And yes, add the stabilitrack, dual exhausts, etc plus the direct injection "technology" will add up pretty good for a base price of (drums please) 26,690.00 excluding destination charges, dealer fees, tag, tax and title.

A loaded GXP will be around 30,860. again excluding all the fees mentioned above.

Sorry for the markup but you know it will happen.
Anyways, good luck to all. Welcome to "The Price is Right" contest.
