High pressure fuel pump

Okay so I think my HPFP is going. The shop that tuned my car said the same thing, but they do no specialize in Solstices and I am not an expert by any means.

It is making a whining sound that starts once the cars engine gets closer to normal operating temp. It is constant, it goes when it is idleing and when it is under boost.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue. If so does these seem like it is the HPFP or something else? I called my local stealership and they said the part is like 700 hundred bucks which is really crap IMO. I heard they are the only one that sell the part though so I guess I will be forced to pay for it.

Any help is appreciated guys, ty in advance

That pump is a bit cheaper on ebay.
Are you getting any low fuel pressure check engine lights? Can you record the sound?

Maybe the problem is you let a shop tune your car who doesn't specialize in the LNF engine. They probably had no idea what the **** was going on in there.

The guy who tuned my car specializes in American cars mostly G8's as in a bunch of magazines so I am assuming he knows his ****. He added HP/TQ and got me to safer numbers.

I can record the sound in the morning, but I wasn't sure how I could send that/upload it on here. I know I could picture message it through my phone.
I didn't see any on ebay. I'll have to keep my eyes out. $700 just seems like too much money for my blood. I wish it were an aftermarket one that would add hp or something lol.
