So this thing needs a bigger turbo for running up to 7k... maybe the factory limited the revs so low for lack of power up there rather than for any durability reasons.

Love to see a GT30 with Wester's tune!

I was going to ask that question...that's a nice feature to have. Going from 3-2 shifts is great.

If your looking for an answer then the normal engineering answer would apply here ... "It depends" ... It depends what you are trying to do and what you are trying to achieve. The stock turbo was obviously chosen for various reasons both engineering and busines of that I am sure.

I really like the higher rev limit for the upshift from 1st to 2nd, it winds up fast and gives you a little room to shift, I kept banging the rev limiter before, I also love that I can stay in second in a tight turn and keep the power on and have that little extra room. It should also give a little longer in 3rd for 1/4 runs. It what an audiophile would call dynamic headroom.

A lot of time is wasted needing to grab fourth so close the last beams.
Dynamic headroom - YEAH!

I think folks are more about seeing 7K on the actual tach befre they make any decisions on something to fix the airflow problem.....not so much about the stock turbo running to 7k
