Hey everyone...

So my car was acting up yesterday and mis-firing (sounded like I was hitting the rev limiter) in 2nd gear between 3k and 4k RPM's. I noticed that the check engine light would blink, and then go out. I'm guessing a code would have been set, but no way to read it (any suggestions?).

The dealership said $90 for a diagnostics check which seems crazy to me... got to be another way, right?

Yep that's a multiple cylinder misfire...I have gotten that before. I am going to get my fuel pump checked when I go in for service this week.

Isn't it still in warranty? Could be related to the accident? AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts perform diagnostic checks for free. Can't recommend anything with out the codes.

Well... got the car back today. Dealer did the work under warranty (I had back in the collision shop to fix a few things I wasn't happy with) and indicated it was a loose ground connection on the engine block (or header.. don't recall now sorry).

Anyway.. drove it home tonight without an issue. I'm heading to Ohio for the twisty run this weekend... so we'll find out if it's all good now after the long drives this weekend.
