Okay - so I was in the garage doing the install of the Dejon BOV spring when I accidently broke off the little plastic part that the hose sticks into. Does anyone know what I am talking about and what should I do now?
Update: I superglued the nipple back on...put everything back together and took it for a drive. Doesn't appear to be any problems at this point.
However, at first opportunity, I'm going to take it in to the dealer for oem replacement...and then hand them the Dejon spring and ask them to use it instead
The Dejon spring creates a little bit of lag, specially if you have a tune.
I took mine off after hearing from other members about this issue.

Lag I have a tune and I don't experience any lag with this mod.............but I do agree that a trip to the dealer would be in order and forget him installing the spring.............in fact I would just order the cover and do it myself and spare the explaining .........................
I wouldn't have to explain anything really - I'd pay for it since I busted it. I couldn't live with myself. Would anyone happen to have a part number or possibly identify where I can just order one?
i too removed mine due to lage between shifting gears. because of the higher seat pressure it creates more back pressure between shifts........those were the results i perceived anyway. Maybe not so much with an auto, by i noticed a difference in my manual trans.

I think the point is to avoid giving the dealer any reason to say, later on, that no, we aren't honoring your warranty, because we documented that you made unauthorized modifications to your turbo system in the past
Being honest is admirable. They will take that honesty, and apply it to something that had nothing to do with what you did, claiming you voided the warranty by doing it

But I haven't made any modifications to the turbo system. I was GOING to but in the end, just had a broken male end to the BOV cover. I could have done that doing just about anything.
I am going to seek professional assistance in locating a BOV cover replacement. Does anyone know how much pressure is actually put against that vacuum house that exits/enters the cover?
Yes, it could have broke doing just about anything. But they aren't dummies. Don't tell them you were messing with anything, at all
I'm not going to debate that you did or did not modify the system; I will only say that there would be little reason otherwise to be mucking with it, and if it was broken, why didn't it go in for repair will be their logical first question. It seems to me that they are not ignorant of the fact that people can make alterations to the cars
You're free to ignore my suggestions, and I hope your car ends up the way you want it
a stiffer spring makes more seat pressure and therefore takes more to unseat it to recirculate the air. Because more pressure?vacum is needed to unseat it the turbo dead heads more with the stiffer spring vs to the stock one because it takes more to open the bypass valve with a stiffer spring. I noticed a difference between shifts as it took longer to get back to max boost with the stiffer spring. I went back to the stock one and there is less lag between shifts....Maybe it is just my driving habits???....the stock spring works better for me and for some others too.
The bov opens with vacuum and a slightly stiffer spring will not be hard for it to open. Even if what you were saying was true, a bov that holds boost longer would minimize lag not increase it. Unless of course you shift like a grandma and allow compressor surge to take place. However, I highly doubt Dejon would sell a product that causes compressor surge.
