I don't have a Dashhawk or HPtuner...I plan on getting a dashhawk. Will the dashhawk allow me to clear codes...
The dashhawk will not only allow you to clear codes but to monitor several performance indicators in real time as well as to log them for baseline or later viewing.

2007 Solstice GXP - Deep - Orderd 26 Jan, 07; born 22 Feb, delivered 9 Mar. (mine)
2009 Solstice GXP Coupe - Wicked - 000406, Bought off the lot June 2, 2009. (wife's)
For contact info just google Westers Garage Westers, it's all there. Eileen will be happy to take your order without a NASSOA membership, she will also be happy to charge you full price. If you want the discount you must give them the membership number before you get the tune, or pay full price. Everyone at NASSOA and Westers is working very hard to help everyone out on this. That says a lot for the NASSOA, and the folks at Westers. By the way this tune will be basically the same for the HHR SS and the Cobalt SS. Here is picture of an ECM from a 2007 GXP, in case you are not sure what to look for. The part number is on it too.
[IMG][/IMG]
Is the part number 12610054 or 12605038 as shown in a previous post by CHEERS?

Even though that part is on the ECM the part no # to order is 12605038

It's my understanding that Westers doesn't have the tune avail for the '08 GXP/RL yet-soon, just not yet. The mad rush sale going on right now till end of March is '07 GXP/RL tune

I wonder if he got his ECM and how long it took. GMPartDirect is slow...
He is in Atlanta but he told me he had a shipping conformation before he left.

AR is right on, I believe if you are a NASSOA member and want to preorder and prepay for the 2008 tune Lyndon will accept the order. I believe he is going to do some kind of special on the 2008 tune when it's ready. He has a 2008 of his own so I know he is working on it, just was getting slowed down by the weather up North.

Always had good luck with GMPartsDirect.com. Ordered on 11 March and was delivered on the 20 March. Since they did not have it in stock, that is not bad. Lil Goat, as usual, has the part no. right

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be ordering from them soon and getting my form into Wester's by Monday. My GXP is my daily driver, so I can't get away with sending in my ECM and being down for a work week.
I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to get a crank relearn done on my car once I get the tuned ECM back. I have access to a Tech 2 at work...does that have the capability? I don't know how my dealer would react to me bringing in a 2nd ECM and asking them to swap it out and do a crank relearn.
What's the purpose of the relearn anyway? I've swapped ECMs before and I don't remember getting that done.
Thanks everybody for the help.

You really don't have to do a relearn since you are disconnecting the ECU for over 30 min.
The relearn takes all of your driving habits out of the ECU. The ECU learns how you drive and makes adjustments accordingly in order to keep knock from happening...

I think the relearn that Moose GXP was referring to was the CASE relearn which is to account for the differences in the cam due to the manufacturing process if I am not mistaken when you swap out the ECU. I think you were referring to the Long and Short Term Fuel Trims (LTFT & STFT) which you are correct are erased when you remove power to the ECU for over 30 minutes.

Talked to Lyndon today and gave him my order for 2008 HHR SS. Am sending him
HPT scan data from 3rd gear 2000 to redline accel run so he can double check tune
compared to 08 GXP. I have access to a number of GXPs and the Bosch number I got
for 07 GXP was 12610054 YNUS and a service number of 12605038.
I checked several 08 GXPs and my personal 08 HHR SS and they all have a Bosch
number of 12619548 YRPT and service number of 12614967.
