What about an update or recall that the dealer may need to do on my original build, how does the western deal with those? Should I just ask Western? Thanks ( last question - then we'll talk about mixing my fuels ).
Thanks

Did Lyndon had to done anything to the tune so the Meth will run properly, or no tune adjustment needed?

I believe you can change the timing when you use water/meth. The water/meth itself has a separate computer that you can set to spray at certain levels depending on the boost (progressive spraying) level. The Westers tune really doesnt have anything to do with the spraying of the water/meth, it simply allows it to unleash its maximum potential by adding timing and some minor additional tweaks.

Lyndon has no control on the AEM kit, since it is up to the user what boost level the min spraying, and what boost level will be the max spray.
The AEM computer can be set from .5psi - 31 psi.
My min spray is at 11psi and progressively go up until 20psi max spray.
Lyndon and I have been going back and forth with different tunes to eliminate the KRs.
too much advance timing or too much wat/meth spraying will both produce tons of KRs.
And yes, the most total KRs I am seeing now on my HPT logs is only 1.5 degree KR. which is very very minimal.....and only occurs once in a while on low rpms. I used to have up to 7 degree KR, and that was completely eliminated
so u pretty much have to set the meth to shot always so it will not run crappy then? i guess that , means u buying meth really often...

The water/meth tune is only used when there's water/meth involved...........if not, the car runs crappy.

my water/meth is always ON.
but I also connected an off/on switch.......just in case I ran out of water/meth in the middle of the desert or something freaky happened to my kit.....I can turn off the water/meth so the pump will not burn.......and I can just go back to my OEM tune
i use windshield washer fluid. It has about 30% methanol. That's the cheapest way...and most convenient way.
but if I feel like going fast during the week-end, and going to the track.............I only pour windshield washer fluid up to 70% of my 1 gallon container. The remaining 30% I fill it up with pure methanol. I stock tons of methanol in my condo!
Thats not bad, dam what would happend if i put that on my Impala SS, nevermind, i think ill blow the engine, 1500HP (1230WHP) is already pushing it to its limits... But on the Stice, ima sure do it...

And the best part that I hear is that your gas mileage slightly goes up, paying off the methanol kit over time and making up the $3 difference in washer fluid.
it lasts a week or two, and it costs $3 to fill up the tank
yeah 1-2 week, if you don't hammer the car.......hahahaha!
but if you drive about 40 miles a day........and a whacko like me who boost 23 psi for 10 secs or more on the highway.....then that one gallon tank will only last for 4 days......
AEM has three nozzles that they provide the consumer (small - large).
for our cars.....we can use the small (130cc/min) and middle (315cc/min) nozzles.
I am currently using the middle nozzle and start spraying at 11psi.
I guess, if you want to conserve the water/meth and have it last longer......you can use the small nozzle, and tune your car that way......
