Yes, if you have HPT or you know someone that has it.
Dave from Dejon can do this for you.
You can also get another ECU, from GMparts Direct.

Yes, you can use a different ECM, several of the supporting vendors sell factory GM parts, it will run you about $350 for a new one, or you may get lucky and find one in a junkyard. If you buy HP tuners you can get the tune by email and install it yourself, or revert back whenever you like. I highly reccomend the HP Tuners option.
GM parts Direct
Crate Engine Depot.
New GM parts
all sell the ECM, not sure what availabilty is like now.

There is a Hendricks Automotive Group Chevy dealership in the KC suburbs that offers significant parts discounts (off of REAL suggested list price) to SCCA members. PM for details. Example; I bought a proportioning valve for my 97 Express Van and saved about 35-40%. Same on some Sky stuff. I will probably buy an ECU from them.

It will only void the warranty on the ECM, if the dealer even checks to see if it was upgraded, if they can prove it caused some other problem it can be an issue, but they have to prove it caused the issue.

Yes you can run it, not sure why you would want to, you won't need it. It bypasses a saftey feature of the car, I put mine back to stock as it ran funny with it after the tune.

Deep-GXP:

I put mine back to stock prior to Westers Tune. I could see no logical reason to keep the ELAD with the Tune.
