The Adventures Of Solguy Part 2, Enter The Dragons.

We find our Solmates driving through the peaks and valleys of the Rocky mountains. During the drive Solguy and Tattooed Mermaid Girl had talked and learned much about each other.

Turns out TMG, much to Solguy’s amazement and glee, had been an actual interior designer of the Solstice. Her real name was Kikki Valakiss (misspelled to protect the innocent?). Kikki proved her identity to Solguy by displaying her family crest.

Kikki had explained to Solguy that she had wanted to change careers, having grown weary of designing. She said she wanted excitement and the outdoors, so when the opening for a Tattooed Mermaid Girl (TMG) became available she applied. She thinks having the seahorse tattoo probably helped her get the job. TMG thought her true calling was still out there somewhere, maybe as a: sex therapist, rock n roll groupie, run sweeper or mermaid counselor. TMG was still keeping her options open.

TMG then showed Solguy her most prized possession, a windscreen with an actual signature of Bob Guts (previous GM Solstice guru) along with the Pontiac Solstice silhouette on it.

Solguy, who had been a Pontiac salesman for years, in turn showed her his unique laser-cut, inlaid GXP logo windblade. Solguy expressed to TMG that he too was looking for adventure and a change in careers. So the two new Solmates agreed to drive cross country and seek out some new opportunities.

As they crossed the Rockies in the twilight, they admired a passing V-8 Mullet Sky. The only way they could tell was by the stunning lighted Mullet Logo KW windscreen that was lit in red and blue.

Suddenly, as they reached the crest of a mountain pass, an eerie feeling distracted Solguy. He felt a presence, but saw nothing. The darkness was intense as fewer town lights were visible. TMG thought she saw something in the sky, but it moved quickly and was out of her vision in a flash.

As they turned a sweeping mountain curve, their eyes came upon an unbelievable sight, two creatures neither had ever seen before except in fairy tales and once when Solguy was drunk in Mexico. Two huge winged dragons, breathing fire, faced them directly. Their blood curdling screeches could be heard for miles.

Soon the dragons locked in on the GXP and were getting ready to swoop in for the kill. Solguy and TMG looked at each other in frightened glances and held hands. Then the dragons went into an attack dive headed right for their GXP. The Solmates ducked below the dash anticipating the impending impact.

From out of nowhere as the dragons approached in a thunderous, full speed dive, a flash was seen crashing into the dragons scattering them left of the car. “What was that?” Solguy yelled. “It came from the sky.” shouted TMG.

For the next ten minutes nothing but shrieks and dragon roars were heard from the valley below. Then dead silence. Solguy and TMG embraced and sat in their still shiny, ten-coat, Zanny-waxed GXP wondering what had just happened. Suddenly, a streak of light from the valley below appeared. And just as quickly a figure appeared in front of them from out of the dark.

Having beaten the ferocious beasts, a tall, beer-bellied, graying figure appeared in red and blue tights with a cape. TMG thought the superhero looked familiar. Holy cow………it was the Sol/Sky god himself ………Bob Guts!!! Turns out Bob had changed careers too, becoming a caped superhero fighting and slaying dragons and such. He had a large S on his chest. He explained that it stood for the Solstice and the Sly, cars he will always love.

Superhero Bob reminisced with his old friend Kikki for awhile. Later he made sure the Solmates were ok. He then signed a windscreen for Solguy, bid farewell and flew off into horizon.

With tears in their eyes, our Solmates thanked Bob for his help, waved goodbye and resumed their journey.

Ending questions. Just what is Guts up to? Can he keep the weight off and effectively fight dragons? Will the spandex hold on? And what’s up with these dragons anyway? Were these merely made-up antagonists introduced to create a convenient reason for Guts to appear as a hero/crime fighter and sell screens? And what of our Solguy and TMG? Where are they going? And just who is paying for this escapade? And finally ….you guessed it ………WHO CARES?

HEY, DON’T FORGET. YOU GET A 10% DISCOUNT OFF A KAPPA WINDSCREENS’ CUSTOM-DESIGN SCREEN IF YOU MENTION “THE ADVENTURES OF SOLGUY “ WHEN YOU ORDER.
