There will be a "check engine" light. It will stay on until the crankshaft position variation learn procedure is performed and the code is reset. If you just reset the code the light will come back on.

The DashHawk connects to the OBD II port, under the steering wheel, but it has a long cable. You can hold it in your lap while it's connected or set it on your center console with a cell-mate to keep it from sliding around. It's about the size of a PDA.

Look at the site, it says in stock But yes only a few left because it appears nearly everyone buying an ECM is buying the DH as well..

Chris, I ordered the ECM yesterday. I'm holding off on the DashHawk until I find out if it will work with Virtual PC on my Mac. If you don't know the answer to that, can I return it if it doesn't work?

Mine came with mounting hardware....an aluminum "stand" and velcro. I am holding off until a better idea comes along. Wedging it into the windshield/dash doesn't work well on long trips. The road vibes eventually cause it to pop out while your driving. If the cord didn't go straight back, I might mount it on the steering wheel, but the cord is in the way. Someone cut a hole in your dash and let us know how it works!

Try a cell-mate. They sell them at places that sell accessories for cell phones. They are basically just a pad of sticky rubbery material intended to let you set your cell phone on the top of your dashboard without letting it slide around. If you stick it to your center console you should be able to set your DashHawk on it and keep it in place.

Hi Chris,
I know you're not shipping till next week, that's fine, but I orderd a DH last PM will I get one before your current supply is exhausted, worried about how many orders will come in between now and next Monday. Do you prioritize shipping Dash Hawks by when the order is received? Thanks, bird

Cool, thanks Chris.

EDIT: Got mine promptly! (sent Mon received Thurs.) Great little tool.
Extremely user friendly,(common sense) if you're new to this as I am, do not fear. There's plenty to do while you tackle the info curve and btw, there's nothin' you can't figure out(with a little reference and a few definitions).-bird
