And really, everyone who posted "not for me" was essentially saying the same thing I was. Sorry if you want it sugar coated, I can do that for you if you want.

As far as "trolling" on supporting vendors, there are products they have that I like and products I don't. I got the Kappasphere floormats even though I didn't like the kappasphere luggage and I fully intend on getting a kappasphere CAI later on, as well as the ECM tune done.

I'm sure you are a polite person, Stolz25. You don't walk up to a fat person and tell them how fat they are. You don't see someone driving an ugly car and yell out to them: "Your car is ugly!"

So why not continue your politeness here on the Solstice Forum? If you feel STRONGLY that you don't like it, a simple: "No, that's not for me" would suffice. I don't even go that far. If I don't like it, I just move on. If someone asks me directly, sure I'll answer truthfully, and with details if that is what they want.

I'm sure you don't want to create hard feelings, right?

But then again, Archie did say: "Tell us what you think." So your comments were not out of line, Stolz25.

You're right, I wouldn't yell that out or say that, but random fat people aren't going to walk up to you and ask you if they are fat or not either. And for the most part, I don't care what anyone else does. Adding to this car is a travesty though.

Also, this was a comment than wasn't going to have any impact on him selling this thing at all. Whether I like it or not isn't going to influence someone to buy it or not (and if it does that person needs some serious help). Anyone can see for themselves what it looks like from the pictures, and decide if they like it or not.

Archie, I would be interested in the dual exhaust rear fascia. I think Lance said he had ordered one. Are they available now and what is the price?

It's $299 ... he mentioned it somwhere in the middle of the thread, but hasn't edited the main post to add it yet.

Nice looking kit, very subtle, and although I understand the extension behind the rear wheels purpose, that is the one part of the kit I am not totally down with... the sides and front look great though

I agree exactly--like the side skirts and the front lip is fine but the rear is a little too much for me. Too many curves. I have liked many of the side skirt/ground effect add on's. I side skirt I particularly like were on the Pontiac show car at SEMA--wish someone would come up with skirts like those.

In my opinion the best front lip treatment was also on the Pontiac SEMA car--subtle and complimented the car. Some I have seen are just too much. Subtle will past the test of time and not seem dated five years from now.

Sorry I missed this thread. Just for reference a supporting vendor "annoucement thread" (that's most threads in the vendor section) is NOT the place to dump on a vendor. It's considered a voilation of the for sale "cold water" rule and just plain bad taste. These people pay the bills for the forum. It's like your mother used to tell you if you have nothing nice to say better to say nothing. This doesn't mean you can't add constructive feedback but just dumping on the price or overall product is against forum rules while in the annoucement thread.

[Rule] For Sale Rules/Guidelines

If you have issues with a product start a new thread over in general or PM the vendor. Vendors will be glad to work with you.

I certainly agree with you, mceb.

But perhaps the vendors need to understand not to include words such as these:

Quote:
Tell us what you think / ask your questions right here..... or PM

which any normal person would interpret as inviting negative comments as well. Of course, even in that case, the negative comments should be made in a reasonable manner.

Any comments offering constructive criticism, either positive or negative, are perfectly welcome since Archie did ask for opinion. However, comments that are worded in such a way as to be insulting, an attack, or to try and put someone down are against forum rules and completely unwelcome. So lets keep the talk constructive. That can still be in favor or against the product, but not necessarily against those who might like the product.

Now, lets get this discussion back on track, and discuss Archie's new body kit!

Got word that some of these items shipped today! I will be getting my dual rear fascia no later than Tues. I hope to have it painted and installed in the next 2 weeks. Once that happens, I'll post pics. It will be deep all around now!

Lance:
When you get it can you take a closeup picture of the tabs, I want to make a comparison to the RKSport rear fascia and see if anyone is using the same thing as the OEM rear fascia.
Thanks in advance
