Yes that’s right everyone. Our ecotech engine arrived today! Us along with Secant Engineering have tested this in the past and are going to make it a reality this coming weekend. We are going to be installing this engine in a Lotus Exige and supercharging it as well. If you are in the local area and want to stop by this Saturday morning between 10-2pm you are more than welcome.
Can't wait to see what you do with the Exige. Can you imagine the jump from 190 hp/130ish lb/ft to 300/300?? Damn.
If only we could import some Opel Speedster goodness cheaper.
Any reason you didn't use an LNF? If not for the global recession, i just assumed that little beauty would be the mill of choice for ALL motor swap projects going forward.
I've even eyed a few on ebay for a swap into my base.

The LSJ is more suitable for our applications. We have also had some experience with this motor since we have it in our Atom and played around with it.
That's going to be one bad A$$ car...I love the Exige, except for the lack of basic things like carpet, or anything in the interior that isn't like a go-cart.
Yes we were able to put the ECOtec Engine in the car and get it running in one day. It has only a rough tune for now but we are working on the final one and should have it done in 2-3 weeks. Here is the link to our Sector111 Blog for all of you to read up on the install and progress of this great project.
thats awesome........why wouldn't you just put the gxp engine in the car though.
Already answered in this thread...
