As you all may know, we pride ourselves on our customer service. That being said, what do you guys think of the Holiday specials for this year? Your input will have an affect on next year's sales so feel free to let us know if we are doing well or can improve.

I think it is real cool that you all offered xmas specials but some of us already have items in the packages. I was really looking forward to the specials over the holidays; especially the dual exit exhaust. I just don't really want/need the other items included.

How about bringing the SF discount back ... just for Christmas. I need a few things but not a "complete" package. Just a thought. That discount might sway a few customers that are "on the fence."

So from what I am seeing, you would be more interested in sales on individual products vs. packages. If the discounts are not as great would this still be the case?

I'd love to get the wheels and springs.
Just don't have the extra cash (even with the discount) right now.

Maybe you could keep that package around for the forum members for a while...

Hey Kappa:

I just recived The Pontiac Solstice Book and read that, they do not highly recommend changing tire or wheel size. A Quote from the Book: "This caution is especially important in the Solstice's case because the standard 18-inch tire, by design, barely fit within the fender wells. Anything even slightly larger will almost certainly interfere as the suspension moves through its range of travel." page 100 It also goes on to say that if GM does not test it " resist the temptation to upsize" page 100

Just how much clearence is between the top of tire and wheel well.

I love all the stuff you have and will buy more stuff from Kappa but I would like black rims in 18-inches.

I agree with the other people I have some of the things on special already and would like you to bring back the SF discount during X-mass.

Thanks

So have you all reconsidered how the discounts are distributed?

Any manufacturer is going to try and persuade people from using anything other then their products. GM even went as far as putting a plastic bump in the wheel well to prevent increasing wheel size. As far as we have seen this bump on the back wheel wells behind the tire (towards the back of the wheel well) is there only to prevent larger wheels and tires from being installed. Some have even gone as far as to cut this out so that they can fit the wheels and tires they see fit. To be completely honest, modifying a car could very well shorten the life of some things. Obviously our little chromies are not going to make your car last a shorter amount of time, or cause parts to wear out faster, however things like suspension, engine performance mods, and even wheels and tires could increase wear on related parts of the car. Is this something that will make a noticeable difference on wear? If the product is designed right and is a high quality product then most likely not. If a product is not well engineered however it could very well damage your vehicle. Personally I have made my decision when it comes to modifying cars and that is that I would much rather enjoy my car and personalize it to my standards then try and preserve it for the next owner. I buy my cars to enjoy, but that is not necessarily the right answer, nor is my definition of enjoyment the same as the next guys. This is a very opinionated topic that there is no right or wrong answer to.

To get more to the specifics of your question, our 18" wheels are the same size as stock and our 19" wheels with the correct tires will remain the same overall diameter of stock. That being said, regardless of which wheel you purchase from us, you will not run into any issues with the overall diameter being to large if you run the appropriate tire.

If you have any other concerns about modifying cars, feel free to email, pm or call me, and I would be more then happy to discuss the pros and cons of modifying cars and what modifications could have what effects. I am by no means an expert, but I have seen both sides of modifying cars first hand and may have a broader outlook then the next guy.

Actually Neil and Shinoo both are out of the office today and yesterday we had our day booked so we have not had a chance to sit down yet and discuss the sale. Like I said previously though, take advantage of this sale while it is here. You have been heard but changes may not take place till the next sale.

Brian,
I could have not said it better myself. This is probably the most intelligent quote I have ever read on the real. Now bring out the 19/20 staggered wheels
