Alright guys, i know you have been waiting, and finally, we will be ready to Ship our style bar for your solstice at the end of the week. Now i know what you are all thinking when i say "style bar". Im not calling it a roll bar, because of legalilty. It would need to be tested in a roll over situation, and proved to work with the Weight of the vehicle. It is made with (main hoop) : 1 1/2" .120wall tubing (kickers): 1" .120wall tubing. This is a very stout bar, very strong, and we believe very safe. Any good tech at a track day, should be able to see what we have done, and approve it, but for now, this is a style bar, and has not been tested. Due to the extreme lack of space in the car, we believe this is the best way to go. If we were to do anything more, use of the convertible top would be gone, and life in your solstice would not be the same. There is a harness bar option which you can choose if you would like to help keep you in your seat and run 4 points. It takes a small notch in the factory plastic, comes with detailed installation instructions, powdercoated to match the factory silver trim piece, and all stainless steel hardware.
Price:
Main Hoop: $375.00
Harness Bar Option: $150.00
Together: $525.00
(picture not shown with harness bar option, will have updated pictures tomorrow)
Have you guys talked to the SEB or any other SCCA sanctioning body about legality for them? As you mentioned it'll more then likely be legal for most HPDE/track events but was curious about SCCA SOLO legality as well for those interested.
Will it be available in chrome? Why would I want it if it hasn't been tested for roll overs. That is the only reason I would want it. That is like buying an engine that doesn't run. Dallen
Since this is a Supporter announcement thread please refrain from making negative comments in this thread. I've removed the one post in question. If you have an issue please make a new separate thread to discuss any issues you have.

Would you like them to use your car as a mule? You'd probably get one for free!! Chrome is expensive, but hey, for the mule volunteer--maybe.

Everyone was pointed over here from the other thread in the Racing section so exactly where are we supposed to make our comments?

Ok.. I'm 6'1" tall and wondering if the bar will sit above my helmet or not. Looking at this picture of me at an autocross event, I'm wondering if the bar is high enough.
I've run with the top up (in the rain only) with my helmet on... but just wondering if the bar will sit up high enough to pass SCCA requirements.
Anyway to get a measurement from the top of the curve on the seat to the top of the bar? Or better yet.. anyone know the requirements for the bar to be above your head? Brentil seems to have memorized the SCCA rule book (or at least parts of it). I can't find my copy right now and besides.. at some point I have to work today!
