I like it! As for the screw holding the flap down, it probably would not be too had to modify to use a quick release lock pin.

I like it too, and will have one before next summer. Everyones a critic, I had an old boss with a sign that said "If you are not part of the Solution you are part of the problem" If anyone has a better idea than RMR lets hear, I know they are listening. If they wern't they never would have made the style bar. They are a brand new supporting vendor, I applaud them there efforts they have other things in the works as well.

Sorry for the confusion. Its hard to explain.

Under that bar base, there is composite/plastic material that is supported by a thin metal " bracket. This is on a Sky and I dont think its any different on the Solstice. If that base was bolted to framework or something solid, there wouldnt be a need for the small bracket use towards the center of the base.

thanks for better explaining your concern, underneath the plastic/composite piece, there is a metal sleeve, you have to drill a hole, in the plastic, to access that sleeve. Once you have access, you see that down there, (at the same spot our 3"male end drops into and bolts) is the same location that holds the seatbelt bracket, tied into the chassis. the bar is not just attached to the composite/plastic, nor is it just attached to the 2mm metal plate. i know its hard to explain, it really dosent do it justice unless you see if first hand

Can you take it off and take a close up of where it is mounting too. Maybe through the hole, from the top compartment or maybe pull the panel behind the seat forward and a shot accross the top of the seat belt mount point. This might stop alot of this concern a lot of the non racers that don't want the harness piece seem to be having.

I've been in there a couple times on mine doing wiring so I know right where your talking about but alot of others have not done much exploring themselves under the panels.

Looking forward to seeing those. Thanks. Am very interested but not knowing if track inspectors will approve is a concern.

Here's a couple shots of the belt mount point used for the main base of the bar.

rear angle

Front angle

You can see that it does bolt into the body's frame work. Is it completely safe? This still doesn't answer that in place of a test but hopefully it will ease some pressure off the poor RMR guy taking all the heat and the thoughts that is is only supported by plastic and a thin piece of sheet metal alone.

we love sparco seats, its just a matter of how adjustable you want them to be,. take a look at sparcousa.com, we are also an authorized dealer for them. its kind of a golden rule not to run a harness setup without a race seat, so start looking!

Just askin, I'm hoping to be at FormulaD at the House of Drift come Oct.... Will you have a couple Product cars there for US to look at? Give the ole Style bar a shake?

ALSO, not to detract from the topic...

Are these vents on the rear bumper?
Aesthetic or functional?
Are they locking down the spoiler fins?

Just curious.
Best Spoiler on a Solstice ever.
