That NPG sounds cool. I got to look that up. I was always told that water dissipates heat alot better then coolant, but coolant adds lubrication needed.
To me coolant is basically just anti-freeze to keep the motor from icing up during winter. During summer I always use a 70W-30C mix. Gotta look this NPG stuff up. Its too hot out here during summer, and every bit helps.

There is a company out there that make a nonaqeous propylene glycol (NPG) coolant that doesn't require any mixing with water.
This stuff will not freeze until about 40 below.
It will not boil until about the high 300s.
With no water, there is no steam, so there is little to no pressure.
Since water is a corrosive agent, and there is no water, this stuff is a lifetime coolant, they recomment changing it every 300,000 miles just to be safe.
It ain't cheap, about $25.00 per gallon, plus you need to flush your system with a prep solution which runs about the same price.
Do a google search for NPG coolant and check this stuff out.[/quote]

The problem with water is it boils at about 225-230 (can't remeber exact temp) under pressure in the engine. When it boils, it usually does so at hot spots along the cylinder sleeve. This causes a steam pocket and then liquid coolant can't get to this hot spot and you end up getting pre-ignition, or KNOCK. With no water to boil, NPG stays in contact with the entire cylinder sleeve and pulls heat away from the combustion chamber more efficiently, no hot spots, no KNOCK. Another thing is when water turns to steam (even micro bubbles) it is not very efficient at dissipating the heat energy once it gets into the radiator. The NPG always stays liquid so it absorbs heat very well and also dissipates it very well. When combined with the larger aluminum radiator, it should be a very effective combination.
I know what you mean about HOT in the Summer. Rosamond, CA = Mojave Desert.

I moved the PS unit last weekend and added the Hahn shield. A must for all to get. Press Bill for it regardless of where you live.
This coming weekend will be the radiator, maybe. I whined to Dave about the UPS site showing it still sitting in Ill. and it claims to be here tomorrow.
Still waiting on the Norm rear tail insert. The car looks bad without the piece. I refuse to drive the car without it.

Got the radiator this week-finally.
Was it worth the wait? HELL YES.
I haven't put it in the car yet until I decide what I am doing with the car but I wanted to tell those that have yet to decide on buying this that it is a piece of work.
I don't know who did the work but it was really well thought out. And for anyone that has ever ordered anything and had it shipped, this box was the bomb. Unless someone drove over the box, the unit would never be damaged.

Did they put the larger 5/16" brass hose fitting (upper left side) on yours? Did they include 4" (2) mounting bolts to replace the stock top mount bolts that end up too short?
Don't forget my install tips post, especially drilling the rubber shocks and trimming the fan shroud - if you elect to install it!

I will take it out of the box again tonight and gawk at it.
The welds are superior to anything that I have ever seen. Hand welds that look like machine welds. WOW. Talent. Talent = $$$ and it shows.
The brass fitting with the rasp feet for the hose? I don't know what size it is. There wasn't anything else in the box so I guess that NO to your question.
Definately a "get what you paid for" piece.
