Is this the fix for the turbo heat?

I'm noticing my car run between 190 to 212 degrees since putting on my shorty headers...one, is this a problem and two, is adding this aluminum radiator overkill for these temps?

It wll come with instructions. Most likely you will have to trim about 1" off of the fan shroud to allow for the increased width of the radiator but it should be pretty straight forward.

We use a similar design in our V8 cars and we rarely see the V8s go above 200 degrees in 90-100 degree heat.

This should help out quite a bit with the turbo cars!

Damn skippy it will.

While there are many reasons for excess heat in the three KC turbos, the turbo is only one of them.

Having a larger radiator will depend on how and where your car is being used and how often. Those that are in the hotter climates but only run the car on weekends will likely NOT see anything out of the ordinary with their cars.
Some stock unmodded cars going to or from KC commented on the cars running at or near the 214-218 range. The Werks car and the Archie car didn't come near that range.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease!

Tonight I was out driving and an Accura (I am not sure if it was a TL or RL model) was trying to race me...I was killing this car with ease...the poor guy couldn't come close when we got to the high speed two lane on ramp.

How much does the new radiator weigh when compared to the stock one?

DDM Stage II and Spec 2+ clutch/flywheel finally installed :)

It will be about 3 or 4 lbs heavier than stock, nothing noticeable.

Dave, do you have an availability date yet?

I don't like heat over 205. Might not hurt a thing - maybe it's just me!

All three of the KC turbo's went north of 220 during the trip. I'm sure many of the stock n/a's made it over 210 in the heat.

I'm thinking GM gave us a 190 thermostat because there's something about that temp that's a good thing! Either to heat it up in the winter - or keep it cool in the summer.
