Another think I notice that was a bit of a surprise, whas how small the orfice was for the feed leaving the thermastat (and I'm not talking about the the orfice for the heater line). Looking at it, it is clearly less than half the size of the hose.

This certaintly makes me concerned about limitation (i.e restrictions) in water flow (gpm).

Dave, Carl,
Could you take a look at yours to see it you see the same thing?

I'll give it a look. Sounds like we need to get the grinder out! What are the opening sizes? 1/2" block to 3/4" to thermostat??

While I think that the opening sounds like another bottleneck it most certainly can be offset by the shear volume of the coolant increase.
The flow is going to be restricted somewhat but the water going back in will still have had more chance to cool more prior to the thermostat opening again.

Did we order radiators about 3 weeks ago? Did Dave indicate 3 weeks to get them?

All,

Started a more general cooling thread to help us turbo owner figure out how to keep the temperatures cooler.

I spoke with my radiator manufacturer and they said about another week from yesterday. They have been very backed up. Soon, my friends, soon!

Are they the same kind of rads as the ones listed above ?

I wouldn't pay more then 350 for a racing radiator.
Thats extremely overpriced. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for your .02 cents. When you see it your will understand why it is priced that way it is. A ton of bracketry needs to be put on this one to make it work. Also we have a ton of R&D time developing it so that is taken into account as well.

Can you post some pics? Fluidyne rads cost aboot 300-350 and come with mounting points for 2 stock fans and temp sensors.
