You know what would be great is a starter kit. I downloaded the order form but I do not know what I really need. I have a water softener and use it to wash the car. I clearly need something better than our old worn out cotton towels which worked well enough for my last car but not this one. I will need the leather cleaner/treatment stuff. Do you have a new car starter kit? Just a list of the basics to get started would be great!

The dealer pre-applied a paint protection to my Solstice. I had no choice. It was the only dealer in the area accepting the GM Supplier discount so I ended up with paint protection (and a Lojack) that I would not have opted for. Any way, this is some kind of polymer finish they put on. Instead of the first detail with the mild soap I assume I should go straight to normal maintenance washes.

I think I need to call the dealer to get info on the finish they applied. I am not sure how long it is suppose to last but at $800 bucks it better be a while. I will bet they did not apply any sealant to the wheels. A call to the dealer is in order to find out.

Gary,

Got my chemicals from you yesterday!! I'm impressed with the packaging and know I will enjoy the results ('cause I've seen them on others' cars!). Thanks for the microfiber towel and the refresher course in your post above!

Lord willing, I will bring Muirne back to "showroom shine" on Saturday!

Pictures will, of course, be forthcoming!

Gary, I am new to this forum and a new GXP owner and this information is great. I want to order your DVD. Is there a discount for forum members. I thought I read that on one of the threads.

Thanks
Preacher
