Under Door Handle Protection

I'm hoping someone could help me out. I'm looking for something transparent to protect the area under the door handle from scratches. Usually these scratches occur over time and are caused by finger nails or rings. I'm not sure what they're called or where to even begin to look. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance.

A small piece of any clear bra material between the handle and the body will do it. I didn't do the Solstice but I did do my Malibu when I got it to stop the scratches from my wife's rings and nails.
