So I did my first autocross in my GXP today. Not my first autocross mind you.. but new to driving the stick on the course and first time with the GXP.

Anyway... obviously I'm running A-stock. There were 8 entries... my GXP, 3 Vette's, 2 WRX's, 1 Boxter. One of the Vette's had two drivers.

After the 3rd run of 4 I was in second place behind of the WRX's. Unfortunately it was raining all day today here in Michigan. The WRX had a huge advantage with tire grip being 4-wheel drive and 300hp. I was 5 seconds back of the WRX and 3 second ahead of 3rd place (one of the Vettes).

Final run I DNF'd. I didn't think I missed a gate, and when I asked there was no confirmation by a second corner that I missed the gate... The two guys driving the one Vette each put a run together and bumped me out out the trophies (3 given today in A-stock).

It was great to get back out and run again... wow do I love this car even more now. I didn't really have an issue with traction like I thought I would in the rain running the stock tires. I'm glad it was wet.. it made it hard for the Vette's. Next race isn't for a month (I'm gone for a wedding during the next run, and then Nationals I'll miss another). Can't wait!
