the car has pretty good power with the tune. It had the fastest fendered car time of the weekend with Matthew Braun driving. Still not ASP fast according to this national champ.
Bushings still need some work, but the guys at Energey Suspension are great to work with.
Congrats Alex. Sounds like things are coming together nicely.

Are ya comming out to any local Detroit Events?
Season opener this sunday at DTE.

at the test n' tune we were almost lifting the inside front wheel on corner exit. not that it's good or bad (as it screws with your roll centers), but i want a picture of the car lifting it off the ground.

I definitely won't make it out there this Sunday, but I'm going to try to make it out at least once this year. Maybe I'll be able to stop by to watch sometimes, but it's hard to sacrifice the entire day right now. (buying a house, trying to finish my project, planning a wedding, attending weddings, etc.)

I still have a mark on the front fender from a Kettering cone. I'll have to cover the car in painters tape this time :P

here are some video's from the test n' tune
the driver in the pilot view is my co-driver.
The line's weren't all that great cause we were paying more attention to the feel of the car than anything else.

There is no sound in any of the videos. These were taken with a new setup by cam-fx.com

Units are still in beta testing so the quality isnt 100% but its still really good.

Season opener went well... i guess.
It went well because i finished 8th in the Pro index class, 9th on index, 9th fastest straight time and the fastest production/fendered car (1 second faster than the next car).

results are here in the download section www.detroit-scca.org

The car was not behaving, we need to work on the alignment quite a bit and not in the parking lot the morning of the event. and we were not driving very well either.

Also, if the car keeps getting better it'll be hard to justify it moving to BSP. But i'm sure the first National event with the SP build will be humbling

Here is some motivation to send and e-mail to SCCA. http://www.scca.com/documents/Fastra...-june-solo.pdf Scroll down to the Street Prepared section to see that the SCCA is FINALLY looking at moving the 2.0 Kappas to B/SP. The more people that send them input the higher likelihood that they will do it. DrJones, you have SO much invested it is worth the time.

I'll be sending one today and also trying to get some National Champs that have driven the car to write letters also.

Good news!

We had a local event in Detroit yesterday.

I suprised myself and won the Pro class and took 2nd on Index (almost had first).

The car felt pretty good, need to adjust the front toe settings, but the rear should be all set for Peru this weekend.

Anybody know of a good body shop that can do fender flares? my rear tires have been beating the piss out of my rear fenders. either i learn how to do it, or i pay somebody. i'll post pics of the fender beat down later along with the event results.

yeah, i know. i wasn't even paying attention to how i was doing until my last few runs when i heard the announcer mention something about me being able to keep the lead. and the announcer is one of the SPAC members!

my excuse is that it was a local event and we'll see how it actually goes this weekend at peru and then the following in toledo. i'm sure i'll be humbled.

EDIT:
Results:

class results (pro is at the bottom)
http://detroit-scca.org/e107/e107_fi...al_results.pdf

Index results:

If Marcus didn't hit a cone on his last run he would have taken 2nd on PAX. (Marcus was in his ESP car not the F-Stock Shelby, he would have beat me for sure otherwise)

And if I didn't hit a cone on my fastest run it would have put me 1st oh well. we all have our what if stories right?
