I like to keep track of that (for some reason), as my South Bend group doesn't have a street tire class. I still don't think the PAX for AS is a good value to use and that I end up lower in PAX than I should. Granted that could just be me complaining, but I find it odd when I see the DS Crossfire which I beat in raw time by 0.8+ seconds and loose out in PAX to him by 0.6 seconds.
The track was getting faster (well, seemingly less slick, as I didn't touch tire pressure... heck, I drove the car to the event, cleared it out, and raced it the way it was in my garage for every day driving) when I was out there, and I was driving better (smooth and not over running, braking earlier). My first three runs were all very close (44.1, 44.2, 44.1) and then I dropped 1/2 second on the 4th and another 1/2 second on the 5th. I should have been able to get a 42.+ second run in there, but I need to be better at getting that by the 3rd run to mimic a National event. It still takes me too long to figure out where I'm over driving the course.
It was a great event.. and as I said on the Detroit board I might do a dual membership next year. I wrapped up the AS championship in the South Bend group, and finished 4th in Detroit with only 1 event... 2 more events in Detroit and I would have won that one as well. I'm still playing with the little boys though, the big guys (like Alex) are up in the pro indexed class... I'm still a ways away from that group though as these PAX results clearly show.
