I did an autocross event with the GXP and had a chance to compare to the 08 Mustang GT. The US guys would consider the course a little tight. Both on stock tires.
It wasn't much of a comparison. I did 44.8 and the 08 Mustang GT did 47.8. Same class too.
I was going to buy that new mustang until the first week of 2006 when the specs of the gxp were released, im glad i switched as that mustang was not made to go around turns.
Its going to be sunny this sunday kw, get ready
Nice job but how did you end up in the same class? Stock GXP is AS, stock Mustang GT is FS ... assuming you're giving us your "raw" times PAXed to class the results would be GXP 37.72 GT 39.24, still a nice win.
Different classing in this club, and in ON a bit too maybe. A few mods on both cars I guess and we were both Class 2 in this club. Only class 1 was higher. It is a dog eat dog class. R compound and street tires, it doesn't matter or count for points to a class. Shabby was the fastest street tire in the class from what I saw. Faster than an 07 vette.

Looking nice for weather. I think I'll be there. Be in touch.
Great job KW! I've started autocrossing myself this year with my 2.4L NA Sol and have been placing consistently in 2nd or 1st place in the C stock class. But what is even more fun is that my raw times and pax times have been very competitive as compared to other cars that have been setup for autocrossing. Got to admit that its fun to beat the Stangs, BMWs, Porsches, and even some WRX turbos! Of course driver ability is a big factor but so isn't the car and how its setup. Good luck with future events.
