Hey Rob,
Remember the guy at the first tour event we met at. He was running full aftermarket suspension on his Spyder in stock class with us (the car was a full 2" lower than anyone elses. When Tim called him on it, he asked the SCCA staff to let him (and his codriver) still run with the class and record his runs as "dsq" so he could go back to his home club and continue running illegal and keep winning their events...
As far as this thread I'm done.

His co-driver had only met him for the first time at that event (the co-drivers name was Rich W. and he and I are good friends now). Rich came with his own car but after driving my car a couple of times at the T&T track, he wanted to try one out for the cometition and that guy offered. So not only did he screw himself over, he took down someone with him. He was a *TRUE* assho1e. He knew he was illegal too, we tracked down pictures of him from one of his local events where he had the correct class on his car.

KK is a very leveled headed and even-keeled guy. The short time I've known him, I've never seen him get emotional. He is very knowledgeable and willing to help anyone out. I feel that Jack's response should not have been made, especially since he admitted to baiting him.

I'm probably the most green person here when it comes to auto-x. One thing is certain. I've read the rules many times over. If someone deliberately cheats, they should be exposed. If they didn't know they were in the wrong class, that's another story.

This has gone out of hand, my point was and still is that discussion is fine, soap boxes belong elsewhere. Look closely the soap boxes are there. The post was meant to inform, as are most of my posts. I will bow out and let the discussion continue on how the edl mod has changed the earths axis of rotation. Good luck guys.

So who is going to try a GXP/RL automatic? Taller 2nd gear and shorter 3rd gear than the stick.

Although I won't buy an automatic turbo Kappa, I have been thinking that an auto might be right for the car for a) the reasons you mention, and b) it has been a very successful combo in F/S F body cars in the past and Corvette of most types. It might work, but I still want to row my own.
