To Tubb and Back half a wrecked basemodel Solstice.
Everytime I look at the wife's GXP when viewed from the rear/quarter angle- all I can think about is how nice it would look with 14"wide 29" tall slicks out back.

All hunkered down, barely 2 inches from the pav.
A nice 12 bolt chevy (gotta stay GM) with 4 link should do nicely.
I'm thinkin' 2003 zo6 electron blue, with the gold center draglites from Weld.
Two chrome hoops behind the driver and passenger.
Or maybe a chrome funnycar cage around the driver alone.

Now usually with these projects Id drop a warmed up SBC or similar beneath the hood.
But this time Id like a Raunchy,ill-tempered Eco (with more turbo than you can shake a stick@) chattering under there. Something that launches @ say 5500rpm on the twostep and shrieks out to 10K.
Whole car should weigh 2750 with me in it.

BUt alas momma won't let me start any more car projects until my vette and her midengine s-10 is done.

I just can't get the concept outta my head!

Haha, I thought you were going to trash talk me!

I'm not a huge drag car (or drag queen :P ) fan. i'm not sure how i would like the looks.

I do need to figure out how to make some nice flares for the rear. i see lots of old 911 porsche's with nice rear flares, i'd like to model it similar to them.

I dream of such a project.

Do it! Once it's cut, there's no turnin' back.

If I could find a nice rollover or one that got hit in the can, that would be ideal. No sense in cutting up a perfectly good car.
Id just use a S&W race car 4 link kit, the rear rails would likely need to get sectioned and narrowed.

I think with a proper built ECO & a nice GT4508R from off the shelf would make it a mid 8 second ride.
I'll stick a liberty or G-force in it too just to make it that much more interesting.

well maybe you could take advantage of flood damaged cars from the midwest?

I'm sure there's bound to be a Solstice in there.

Doc your a Genius! water damage is easy to fix if you plan on gutting it! lol

And at the same time bringing to life something cool from a tragedy.
