As in no cage? I mean it's all stock mister honest how fast could it go?

Seriously though, is there a streetstock class and if so what are the rules on roadsters?

Anyone else think this would be fun?

140 in an open car sounds scary to me! 100 is flyin'! And YOURS isn't stock!
That's the reason they just took top fuel and funny cars down from 1/4 mile to 1000 ft, things got too dangerous.
Scott Kalita RIP.
Would I do it? ???????? I can hit 100+ going around a semi. A mile sounds scary.

Nothing to hit or pull out in front of ya. To me I guess it's no scarier then grabbin a fistfull of GSXR and not letting off until the needle goes bye-bye. At least this wont be a public road , and from what I hear the soltice just wont go any faster than 14xMph at least with the stock turbo..

They didn't get too dangerous because of the speed, they got too dangerous because they insist on running on tracks designed 40-50 years ago that lack the proper amount of run-off room.

I don't know what the Maxton Mile is, but I'm guessing it's close to the same format as the Texas Mile; one mile straight, wide open on an airport runway, tons of run off room, one car at a time, etc. I did 152 MPH in a Jeep Cherokee on a track with a lot less runoff. I doubt they would let an open top car in to the competition though, and even though I think you'd be ok 9 times out of 10, I would personally want a roll bar at the minimum.

Yea. Guess it's better to bring the C4. Momma wont hear about any rollbar in her roadster.
The vette already has been caged' up. (so much fun to bang your head on!)
