What is FE3 suspension?
I was considering getting mine totally stripped... but... I gave in and ordered the MP3 upgrade, the A/C, and the Power Package (power mirrors, door locks, windows), plus of course, ABS and LSD.

With no fan fare or announcement from Pontiac, there is a new option today as fastmike has pointed out, and Andrew Jackson first found clues to. It is the Z0K-Club Sport Package.
The online order guides, VOMS and GM AutoBook (the sales tool on salesperson's computers) all have been updated to include it.
Z0K-Club Sport Package includes JL9-Brakes, 4-wheel antilock, G80-Differential, limited slip, read end and FE3-Suspension, 4-wheel independent, Sport-tuned.
No information could be found about the specific upgrades in the FE3-Suspension over the current suspension. It may, be a pull ahead of some of the 2007 GXP components. But no information yet.
Important note, no other options may be ordered with the Z0K-Club Sport.
Also keep in mind that one will need to keep an eye on wheel constraints, since only the base wheel is available with this new option.

What class and where will you race it? Do you know if anyone is making rollbars for the Solstice yet (I'm assuming they will be required despite the headrests - they are on cars like the Boxster, which have the same thing.

I am woundering if the F3 suspension is the sports suspension package been advertise by GM Accessories but not yet available to order, that includes larger sway bars, spring and shocks and and over all lowering of 7mm, do you know SD?.

I am guessing that it is the same package.
Since the package come's from the factory now and is not dealer added, it should be legal for CS autoxing at SCCA events.
Looks like I gotta get some Forgeline wheels made..
I really do think this car is going to be the one to have for CS for the next couple of years unless Mazda answers with a "real" sport package for the NC with a 5spd/LSD etc.
Even if the Solstice Clubsport come's up short of the 99 Miata, I still have always wanted one....

I doubt it will come up short after seeing the results of the GRM tes, but stranger things have happened.

Oh I wish Mazda would answer with a proper race package. But it is highly doubtful after the failure of the Club Sport in 2003. FM what color did you order?
So does this mean if this is the same suspension as the GM Accessories one, can you just add the parts since there's a model sold with them and still be considered Stock?

Only if you do a complete conversion to the Club Sport package. No mixing of pieces is allowed in Solo2. It's all or nothing.
You could use the shocks and maybe the front swaybar, those are allowed modifications. But I suspect you could get better from the aftermarket soon for the same or less money.

You could add the parts, but if the intent is to create a class and spec racers to fill it, as Dodge did with Neons, then only the Clubsports will be alowed to compete.

This is true.
C-N-C could be claimed to convert another car to a Clubsport but that is a slippery slope and I would not want to travel a whole bunch to get DSQ'd.
Besides....it is way less expensive to just buy a Clubsport unless you ordered a black cloth base + LSD +ABS..If you already had THAT car, I could see doing the conversion to FE3 suspension if it is a good suspension..
I picked white since my MiataR and TTRXR1 are black(Hayabusa was black too) and I have grown to hate that color....
OK..right after I wax the things, I do like black..the other 99% of the time, I hate it..LOL!
Now you're paying an additional $500 for non-adjustable shocks/struts?
Why not just wait until Koni comes out with adjustables and use that $500 towards them?
--kC
Many have had good luck with Koni's but I have not...
I have never had some of the top end stuff though.(I would like some of that $stuff$ though!
I have had OTS yellow/D/A Yellows/Revalved yellows.
I prefer a Monotube damper. I also do not mess with shocks too much once I get them working well. I do mess with front and rear toe and front bar settings and tire sizes(occasionally).
Clubsport supposedly is more than just ABS/LSD. It has a "FE3" suspension.
I am excited if the FE3 suspension has Bilsteins(non FE3 Solstice does) which are my favored brand right now. I hope they are not the cheesy crimp top ones that the new NC supposedly has.
I have done many revalves on my current set's of Bilsteins for my MiataR and love the adjustability available through revalving. Range is HUGE!
I don't think that Solstice is going to need all that much revalving though.
I drove a non FE3 car and the stock front spring/shock/bar worked very well but rear's did need a revalve.
I sure hope I get my car sooner than later....
Local pax class running will be very telling on how fast the thing is.

If I remember from what I heard the Solstice Bilsteins could be revalved unlike the new NC Bilsteins. Why do you think the rears would need a revalve. Do they not have enough rebound or not enough bound? Or both? Just curious because I went and drove on today and got to really hammer it but I didn't launch it so the back end stayed planted.
