I did my part to keep the Solstice out of B-stock by bringing in a solid 5th place at the SE Divisional a couple weeks ago:

I'm just a novice on Azenis trying to keep up with experienced drivers on R-compound tires -- not even close! At least I got faster throughout the event with clean runs!

Mines on order, waiting for it to arrive now. My trailer is ready to go with the wheels and tools in it already. It's not tooooo illegal to drive a trailer without the lights hooked up right...

Thanks for the attachment. Way cool.

Dyno testing of 5 different exhaust systems(cat backs) coming next Saturday.
We have the day scheduled....going to be lots of work and $$$ but should be worth it. Hey! I want every tenth! Systems will be built based on tests and will be for sale I think...
I heard some studio quality sound clips are going to be recorded at the same time.(chaserace.com is doing most of the "set-up" etc).

WOW! Did 25+ dyno runs today with 5 different cat backs.
Luckily, mine was the best at first runs and the best at the end of the session(s) so I feel confident I made the correct choice.
All, including stock,(which was the worst) were within 5 or so hp/tq of each other though.
BUT! Gains were made throughout the range so this exhaust change is a worthwhile investment forsure.
Doug of chaserace.com is going to put a big report with pics etc together.
I burned some serious fuel! She's broke in now...LOL!
They did a bunch of sound recording with some guys in the sound business so if you are interested in that kind of stuff, they are going to put clips together for each muffler. All of them had a different sound forsure.
Sucks that we could not dyno the Burns Stainless system since that exhaust was in Denver and is leading the Prosolo right now with my buddy Kevin in his black ZOK on Kumhos! WOOHOO!

I didn't know Kevin had gotten a Solstice.

I'm going to order mine this week. Hopefully, my friend can get me "employee pricing"...he has a certain number of some kind of voucher he can use each year and he's not planning on buying a car anytime soon. It'll be interesting to see how long out the wait will be...

It's not Kevin's car, it belongs to his girlfriend and she gets upset when he forgets and calls it "his" car, lol.

FM,

I'm picking up my '06 Z0K today at the dealership. Vin 19811 I think it was made in the last production week for the 2006's. I just might have to come to nationals this year after all.

We're all gonna want to see pics and info about your car once you get it setup.

Solsticeman, do you know how much the GMPP springs lower the car?

I thought the advertisement is something like a 1/4"... not much. You're talking the ones you can get from GM perf parts, right?

The stock height of the ZOK springs (rates same as GXP FE3 suspension, the GMPP springs are like 15%-20% heavier, IIRC) is lower than stock solstice by about 3/4", IIRC.

Hmmmm.... since the GXP is heavier, I wonder what would happen if you got a set of Z0K springs, and put them on a GXP - it should end up a drop of over an inch...

or got the GMPP springs and put them on a GXP - that should put a GXP at the height of the current Z0K.... with 15%-20% higher spring rates...

This is what I'm considering along with some new tires and an alignment. Do you know the part number for them? Thanks for the info.
