Does anyone know if there are many people racing the Solstice? I think that would be another great platform to race in a spec series. After all, with the Speed Channels new show "Setup" is would seem that some of the R&D for the car is already being done. What does it take to start another class/series? It would appear that alot of people like running spec type cars. Classes like Spec Focus, Spec Neon, Spec 944, and of course Spec Miata have plenty of cars running. I'd just like to hear some opinions about it...

There is already a class or two in SCCA racing for which the Solstice is competitive. And you can order a specific ZOK version for such things taht is still street legal. As far as a Solstice only race series for regular folk, nothing yet. If you have enough cash I'll show you how to start a series. If you have ten times more, I'll show you how to continue a series.

Are there many people running Solstice in the 2 SCCA classes. Has there been any talk of people wanting to start a series like "spec miata" using the Solstice?

Spec Miata is wildly popular because the entry into the class is $3000 for the chassis and only $2000-$3000 for additional hardware and/or $4000 for a "used SM car." Spec Miata isn't really a series, it's just a ruleset. If you are talking about a series like the MX-5 cup, that would really be up to someone to make a rule set, organize races, and try to attract people to build cars.
