Solstice is being replaced. Thanks folks

We've had a blast with our Solstice. Many thanks to KK and Snaponbob as well as others that gave us advice that really helped us get going.

But it got to where other than Autocross, we rarely used her. She is now up for sale. We decided to get even more impractical.. No storage, no AC, no radio, no top.

3.8 ltr Supercharged, approx. 1,450 lbs. Very fast and Very fun. we will be running 13" R compound slicks for autocross. Again, Thanks for the advice and the hours reading this forum. I'm sure I'll keep lurking. Shoot, not much action on the Solstice yet, may end up having to keep it for a while

It's a Brunton Super Stalker. Based on the classic Super Seven look. An Ariel atom would be a blast too! I have only driven the Stalker a few miles today. It will take a bit of getting used to. Lots of torque. Very easy to break loose.

My wife called me at work giggling like a school girl when she took a spin today. We should have fun with it. Need some seat time. Our first autoX is in a little over a week.

Lots of mods available for the GTP 3.8L S/C motor. If I recall correctly, there's a water to air intercooler that allows you to step down the S/C pulley two sizes.

Cool. Ya, the Caterhams are based on the Super Seven as well... Didn't realize there was another company out there making them (hell, there's probably several)

I think Stalkers are just about TOO cool. Almost bought one 18 months ago but "she" required me to sell the Sky. But it could still happen. I sure hope you have a posi in that !!!!!

p.s. I am pretty sure that I hate you.

You can fix that problem by getting her something so she doesn't notice your extra set of wheels.. A car, jewerly, laundry something has to do it for her.. Think and you will work it out..

Since you and I are all alone, I will confide in you that while she is not one for observing details she WOULD notice this level of deceit. Don't say anything to anybody else, it's just our secret.

BTW, I am now hating the OP even more because "stalker" has been bouncing around in my head ever since I saw the first post.

OK, here's the secret of how to work it... The first thing I did was put a 'GatorMom' license plate holder on it (our Kid goes to UF) and gave the Stalker to her as a gift! This should work out great! Christmas means new tires for her! Anniversary? Why some racing stripes of course!! I can't see a chink anywhere in this flawless plan. Special date = Oil change..

Actually, it really is her car. I will have to beg co-drives

Yep how I feel about the coupe, its his I might be able to steal it to go to the store once in a great while.. Though it will take just as long to get the mirrors adjusted so I can see out of it..

snaponbob I don't know what to say. I tried man I tried.. I know that logic works on me most of the time.. I got parts off the PT he got the coupe, since I had to keep a mommy car(250+hp mommy car) but it worked..

I have to agree. 25 years of testing the limits has it's benefits!!

One piece of advice that will make things much easier.., marry a motor head!

I spent quite a bit of time driving it today. The torque is unbelievable. It will break loose in third. Part of the issue is likely the well worn Azenis 615's that it came with.

Just go for it Snaponbob!

I missed out on one of those !!!!!!!!! I scare my wife on off ramps in her Outlook at 40 mph. "It doesn't look hard driving in your races, but all those cones are confusing." See? She damn near knocked herself out getting in my GT6 -- AFTER I warned her.

edit: I just saw that POS thing in the background. Get a REAL compressor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (So THERE.)

You bast@rd, you are torturing me. But you KNOW that.

edit 2: I hope it rains in your neighborhood for WEEKS.
