Not too good -
In Englishtown, I was 1.5 seconds back from Chris Carris who finished mid-pack in Nationals last year. Everyone who was watching my runs said that I was pushing the car to it's limits everywhere, I was right on the cones, and they don't see where I could make up the time. Mark Daddio was there in his Evo and was only a couple of cars away in grid so there was a croud watching. I ended up 29th out of 116 people in PAX. But that included at least
10 National/ProSolo Champions and assorted other trophy winners... I'm sure that if I was in my Spyder, I would have been right up there in that pack.
In Philly, the course was short and transition heavy so the wide car hurt times. I ended up second to an Evo by 0.03 seconds and 24th out of 128 in PAX. I was on an absolute tear on my last run and I blew a turn. It was a thrashing course with too much input density and not enough time between elements to get set-up.
General observations are that the ABS sucks big time and I'm sure that is what is causing a lot of grief for me. I may hold off on further improvements in the car. I'm 100% sure this isn't the car to have in AS and I'm going to write a letter about getting it moved down to BS (not that I even believe that it's going to have much luck there either!!!). It's just too big and heavy. I will have new tires for the next set of events -
My next events are:
Warminster (local) - A long airport runway to scrub in new tires
The DC Pro
Maybe - Peru NT
NE Divisional
The NY Pro
with maybe one or two local events in there...
